I'm not a clinician, but I would have thought it unlikely that such a low dosage of Ramipril would cause serious or persistent headaches. I'm on 10mg per day (tried 5mg but that didn't alleviate my elevated blood pressure enough) Even if they are the trigger, the headaches would probably fade away as your brain gets used to the slightly increased blood flow.

Hello Vercingetorix. I was on only 2.5 mg of Ramapril for a number of years. Just 1 tablet a day. Which is a lot lower dose than you. But if your having bad headaches i would see your doctor to put you on an Alternative tablet. There is others out there. Mine have been changed. Good luck. Stay well Brian
Hi Vercingetorix,
I’ve been on 7.5mg daily for three or four years. Prior to that it was 5mg. I do notice very low level headaches at times but nothing like you describe. I’d speak to your GP. No doubt a telephone consultation due to cv19. Out of interest, how long have you been taking Ramipril?
