Hi Jimmy,

Is it possible for you to speak to someone in HR about your health problems in the hope that they could furlough you? It might also be worth giving your GP a ring first - see if he would be able to sign you off work or support your application to be furloughed?

Technically I think you are not eligible for the list, but as high blood pressure is known to trigger a TIA maybe he ( GP) could support you? I am assuming that if you got Covid and this caused breathing difficulties this may cause your blood pressure to rise.

If none of the above could happen, would it be possible for your employer to move you to a job that does not require coming into contact with the public?

Just some ideas for you to explore.

Thanks Troilus for your reply, my employer knows my medical past and some of my colleagues have been sent home for 12 weeks for similar conditions but because of the wording in the guidelines he has asked me to check with GP but so busy just now which is understandable I dont want to keep calling when more serious patients are waiting for help,, but thank you again

I also take Neurontin (Gabapentin), and it works excellently for me. Given your history of TIA, hypertension, cavernoma, and seizures, along with the number of medications you’re on, you may be at higher risk for complications if exposed to infections. Shielding for 12 weeks could be a good precaution, but it’s best to consult your doctor, as they can assess your specific risk factors and provide personalized advice. If shielding isn't an option, ensure strict precautions at work—wear a mask, maintain distance, and practice good hygiene. Stay safe!

It's also crucial to use high-quality Gabapentin for the best results and to minimize side effects. If it helps you, I order mine from this trusted online pharmacy—fast-supply24.com/buy-neuro... —and it always works excellently!
