Good afternoon peeps!

Weeeeeell my prescription has arrived, as I explained the other day my blood's had to be done due to me suddenly having a funny eye, anyway the nurse took my blood pressure 3 times, and the highest was 150/90. next day the GP who wasn't my own rang me the following day to tell me I needed meds to sort my BP out, I'm a little surprised that he didn't do more readings over a week or so as my BP could have just been up due to having blood's done and it was a rather warm day, this is what he put me on Amlodipine, I'm already on these other meds,

The doctor did say the new med could cause breathing problems so I'm a bit reluctant to take it, to be honest, and reading the side effects I'm slightly concerned as I live alone so any advice would be welcome, please

Sorry, just seen this.I'm on amlodipine and ramipril for my bp.Amlodipine is a very commonly prescribed drug and pretty effective too.It will take a while to get going on lowering your bp but it will happen. Some get side effects but cross that bridge if you come to it.Keep well.
