enzalutamide and amlodipine
"enzalutamide will decrease the effect of amlodipine by affecting hepatic/intestinal CYP3A4 metabolism "....i was prescribed amlodipine and noticed it was not effective in lowering blood pressure so this must be the reason. Would a different calcium channel blocker work?

Colonoscopy and pred
I'm having a colonoscopy on Thursday. I have been told to leave off the 2mg pred I take early morning until after the procedure (the appointment is for 10.30am). The same for all my other meds except amlodipine which I can still take. I think their reasoning is that I'm not allowed to eat anything after

High blood pressure
Hello, I’m new here & not sure if this is the right place as my issues seem trivial after reading posts. I’m 46 & went to the drs for a routine appointment in early December & on checking my blood pressure it was 190/110, I wasn’t feeling ill or anything. I returned the following day & while it was

Hi I had a heart attack followed by an angioplasty last month, and I am on the meds listed at the end of this message. In general terms I feel really good since the stent was fitted, and five weeks in I’m walking as much as I used to, but am still taking it easy in terms of strenuous activity. Have

low heart rate
hi, I was in hospital 6 weeks ago with a bad attack of A Fib. Came as a shock as I’d had palpitations on and off for a few seconds but nothing lasting hours. I was given Bisopropol and edoxaban to go along with the Ramipril and Amlodopine I was already on. The beta blocker must have worked as I went

20th October I started to feel unwell after a week of stresses. Then the day after thought I had a bit of a bug from my granddaughter. By the next day I felt I had indigestion that seemed to come on as soon as I began to eat? Monday to wednesday bouts of pain in chest through to the back, neck, jaw

Amlodipine and Atorvastatin in One
Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone with liver issues has taken the two meds together? Also know as Norvasc and Lipitor, and both are combined into one pill called Caduet. My Dr prescribed it as a precaution since I have a slightly higher blood pressure and cholesterol than desired for my age

High BP, abdominal pain and sickness and UTI
I initially had bouts of anaemia and tiredness throughout the early 2000s and was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism around 2010. I was told that my excess weight would drop off me after being prescribed Levothyroxine. That didn't happen but I did get side effects and symptoms of an underactive thyroid

Is My Resting Heart Rate Too Low?
Hi First time poster here. I am 62 had an angioplasty following a heart attack last month, with a single stent being fitted. I was reasonably fit through walking beforehand, and have been enjoying daily walks since the procedure, gradually building up my range on the flat, so I am very pleased at what

Pain while taking blood pressure – is it thyroid related?
Hello – this may sound like an odd question, but please humour me! 🙂 About six months ago there were concerns about my blood pressure being consistently high, so I was prescribed Ramipril. A couple of months ago, I developed a fairly persistent cough and vertigo/dizziness, and felt bad enough to call

Statins
I am in my 70s and discovered to have heart issues at a pre opp assessment for a bowel op. Cardiologist put me on Ramipril, Bisoprolol and a Statin prior to having an MRI and CT Scan. It appears I have a mild systolic murmur and an artery less that 50% blocked. Aspirin now added to medication.I am finding

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE PILLS
Hello I had a malevolent spirit attach itself to me for 32 nights in my bed last year. I went to the doctor to ask for sleeping pills to help me sleep during all this happening ( not telling her what was causing this turmoil). She took my blood pressure which was through the roof and indicated that

update
Hi, just to update on my recent angiogram which I had yesterday. Results were they are happy to continue with medication as no stents required at this time. Pressure wire test wasn’t done as happy with what showed up on screen. The consultant has increased my Amlodipine to 10 mg and bisoprolol to 2.5mg

Update on blood pressure medication.
My GP changed my blood pressure medication to Amlodipine last week and asked me to record my blood pressure twice a day for a week.I only lasted three days on the Amlodipine. Side effects for me were breathlessness, feeling nauseous and feeling totally drained. I was really hoping the amlodipine would

Amlodipine Side Effects
Hi. I've had tinnitus for 18 months. Started in the middle of the night during a stressful period in my life - redundancy from long term job (21 years). Originally only in right ear then gradually left too. I experience regular spikes which maybe stress related or reactive to sound. I've recently started
