AF
AF /heart failure. I was "accidentally" diagnosed during a preop about 18 months ago. (I'd complained of shortness of breath and other things previously)Both atria affected. To cut the story, I've only been on a blood thinner since, not seen my doctor for 3months and only very recently become aware

Hi, I’m new on here.
I was diagnosed with low B12 and no intrinsic factor (so I presume pernicious anaemia) last October. I’m 73, so age is a major factor here. I’ve also used proton pump inhibitors for some years, had eating disorders and have other auto immune disorders and been vegetarian for over 40 years, so no great

Private B12 injections in London please?
Hello, Does anyone know of a private GP in the London area or Kent who will give B12 injections please? I have had my loading dose of 6 just over 2 weeks ago, some symptoms went away but dizzyness and strange tiredness after walking for more 10 minutes were still there. I told this to my GP. But now

Advice on what to do next
Morning all, I posted before Christmas regarding my new diagnosis. My doctor found antibodies by chance when she was checking for reumatroid arthritis antibodies after I'd gone to her with fatigue, headaches and joint pain mainly in my knees. She said it was intrinsic factor antibodies and she would

I have had OA for about 10 years, it accelerated with the onset of menopause. The combination of lower back and fingers caused me to take early retirement coming up to 2 years ago. Just coming out of a really bad spell of a flare, have spent a few months thinking it was RA as had raised rheumatoid factor

Castor Oil Packs
Has anyone diagnosed with PID ever used castor oil packs to help break down scar tissue and adhesions and keep them from returning?

Not RA
So seen the rheumatologist today, all the aching disformed joints are osteoarthritis, dry mouth, throat, cough & 1 dry eye to drink water, get eye drops. The raised rheumatoid factor he wasn't worried about or the raised pv. So good news in a way as do not require dmards, but still in pain and nothing

B12 INJECTIONS
Hi- I am a 26 year old female and I recently found out that I have low b12. My labs showed 210 pg/mL and normal range was 232-1245 pg/mL. I did not begin experiencing symptoms of what I hope is only b12 deficiency until I was given Prednisone/antibiotics for a sinus issue (had a horrible horrible horrible

New diagnosis
Hi, I have been going to my GP for over a year with fatigue, headaches, blurry vision and joint pain. She said you are a working mum, what do you expect. I pushed for vitamin tests and I thought I had reumatoid arthritis so asked for antibody testing. She phoned me with the results to say I didn't have

Hello there, As a bit of background, I'm 30 years old and I've been suffering from a range of symptoms including fatigue, headaches and tingling for over a decade. With no interest from any GPs I ordered tests from Blue Horizon a couple of years ago which showed I have hashimotos (although the doctors

How long does it take for a result of blood test for Intrinisc Factor in UK
I had blood taken on 7th December for Intrinsic Factor, no results were back ten days later when I saw my doctor on 17th, should it take so long for results ? I have neurological symptoms due to be wrongly diagnosed as suffering from ME/CFS in 2000 after attending my GP in 1990 with same symptoms, which

Anti VEGF injections
I am having injections into my right eye every 4 weeks. My next appointment came yesterday and is actually 6 weeks since the last injection. Will 6 weeks be okay or should I try to change it? Many thanks for your advice Jane

Got the shots down to 10 weeks from 12 with GP, still massively struggling! Should I self-inject?
Hello, first post here! I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia and lack of intrinsic factor over a year ago and was given the loading shots and then put on a 12 weekly B12 injection. A few months ago I went back to the GP and begged to be given them more often, and they agreed to do it every 10 weeks
