Iron Supplements for those very sensitive to gluten
Hi, I'm being prescribed iron supplement (ferrous sulphate). GP assures me it is gluten free but GPs and Pharmacists don't understand gluten in ingredients. The pharmacy is not answering their phone when I call to find out the brands they have so I can do my own check. Any pharmacy prescribed brands

Ectopic beats all day everyday and now sharp stabbing pain.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar… I’m 35 and have had palpitations since August but in the last week they’ve gotten horrific and they’re all day, everyday. I was fitted with a holter monitor on Monday and wore that for 24 hours, still waiting on results but

Prognosis
Hello, I had pernicious anemia about two years ago and it was corrected with injections. Intrinsic factor test was negative. However, with the time I needed injections again. I read in the internet that pernicious anemia is caused by autoimmune gastritis and that this gastritis may lead to cancer. I

A bit disheartened and confused
A little over 2 years ago at age 36 I experienced the first of what I came to find out was an Afib episode (of course, not until after being told I was just having panic attacks by some very unhelpful ER personnel). This was about a week after a doctor had prescribed me rizatriptan for headaches (

I'd been feeling weary so had bloods done at doctor's. My iron was low; it has been for years; (I think it's always been low, even when I ate meat. I was told by a doctor 30 years ago that I was slightly anaemic; I think at the time I was hypo but it wasn't diagnosed) so GP has prescribed iron tablets

My life has been a bit of a roller coaster lately. I spent last Wednesday in the ER trying to determine why I kept having dizzy spells and nearly passing out. My right arm was also going numb and my legs very weak. We were concerned I was having a relapse or stroke. After bloodwork, a chest x-ray, ekg

Anyone used Vitex (Agnus castus/chasteberry) and did it help or aggravate RLS?
Having heavy n prolonged periods so was researching solutions. Came across Vitex (to balance out hormones) but no idea if it's safe for RLS because when I googled Vitex RLS I read something about it affecting dopamine receptors? Has anyone used this for their periods or any other issue, or can advise

Hi there, I'm 31(M), and last November I got sick, really sick. Life with Ectopics - 20 years old
Hi, my name is Abbie McDonald, and I am currently 20 years old. I have had heart issues, specifically ectopics, for over 6 years now. My story is quite long but I will do my best to summarise it all. It all started after my HPV vaccine at school in Year 10. Following the jab, I came down with cold

Blood results- thyroid and iron levels.
Hi all, I've had my blood test results back today. I had stopped the vitamins that you're meant to stop before testing but unfortunately I forgot to not take my Thyroxine! Yeah I know! So the blood was drawn at 12 noon, I had taken my Thyroxine at 11am, would that be a short enough space of time

Repeating intrinsic factor antibody blood test
Hello Does anybody have any references to show a consultant that wants to repeat an ifab blood test? I have gastric parietal cells and am ifab positive with reading of 8 (range 0-5). He says I'm only weekly positive for ifab so wants to repeat the test. I had one down in June that was negative, then

So I’ve just had my recent bloods done, last time I came on here it was recommended I increase my Levo dose from 200mcg to 225mcg. As the Aristo brand comes in only 100’s I’ve had to cut the tablets so half every other day with my other 2 tablets. So I’ve been ok been feeling a little anxious and on

Hypersensitivity post circumcision
Hi, I am on my 8th week at the moment, have had partial circum followed by frenuloplasty. Healing and all is going well and the hypersensitivity of glans is much reduced upto an extent that it won’t pain or discomfort in under garments or a slight tap. But any sort of sudden rubbing by hand or tissue

Pfizer and diaphragm problem
After having Pfizer I believe it has caused a diaphragm problem problem for me. I had my second shot in May. Shortly after I was selling all my furniture and ending up sleeping on pillows on the floor as I sold my bed. I had a few aches at first but on my right side it was there constantly. I just
