A question about Thyroid blood tests.
Hello Everyone, I am seeing an Endocrinologist in a couple of weeks, I was diagnosed with B12 Deficiency last December and am having treatment. Unfortunately, my MVC are getting larger since treatment and I have been told to check out my thyroid. I have had my T3 free, T4 free and TSH blood tests

Health anxiety
I’m convinced my health anxiety is what keeps my behind and stopping me from moving forward sometimes. I worry so much about my heart all the time I’ve had 3 ekg done all were normal I’ve had a chest X-ray that was normal. I feel one little twitch, pain, bubble, pop on my left side or sternum I think

I have my 5th shot today🤞🏻
Hey everyone. I have my 5th shot due today. I dont feel much difference but because I'm not working (just started 4 weeks off sick) I do feel marginally more capable of day to day activities. I'm also not as angry as I was last week.....☺️ But the tiredness is endless. I can have so much sleep and night

Autoimmune gastritis Vs AMAG/PA
https://pernicious-anaemia-society.org/b12deficiencyandperniciousanaemia/ This first article describes one cause of B12 deficiency (other than PA) as gastritis that is 'where the patient produces antibodies that destroy either the Parietal Cells or Intrinsic Factor or both.' So is this very much different

Hi. I have RA and Fibro. I'm on Sulphzasine and weekly Benipali had it must be 16 years RA that is. Following routine chest x-ray as I have inactive TB or Latent as sometimes called my heart is mildly enlarged. Thinking would RA cause that as I know it can effect the heart. Also surprised my cholesterol

Today wasn’t the best
I am so over worrying about my health I’m so over these physical sensations. I’ve convinced myself I have artery disease blood clots and other heart issues. I’m tired of it feeling like I can’t feel my hands some days like I can feel them but like it feels like I can’t like the sensation is decreased

Newly diagnosed possible Autoimmune gastritis and B12 deficiency
I've recently started B12 injections under the care of a private doctor. He gave my first injection and I'm doing self injections at home (1mg hydroxocobalamin). My B12 was at 292 so a little above the NHS range but clearly deficient. I initially saw him to arrange an iron infusion for iron deficiency

Confused, again
So had bloods repeated on NHS. All except 4 came back, on my GP no reference ranges. Got print outs and have been checking every day for missing results. Just now found 2 more on my GP. , had been waiting on T3 vit D and IFA and TTG (coeliac). One says intrinsic factor ab screen test but no

What diagnostic test(s) are usually done to test for Pulmonary Hypertension?
Hi there. I've recently been referred to see a Pulmonary Hypertension Consultant (by my Cardiologist, due to signs in the Echo it could be intermediate probability of PH). The appointment with the Pulmonary Hypertension isn't until September (due to NHS waiting times). My question for the group is,

Before You Book (or recommend) That Iron Infusion
Please read the article embedded in this post to FreeGaza. In my unprofessional opinion, if you feel you must have an infusion then ask for Iron Dextran. Dextrose is a single molecule sugar that theoretically should be able to cross the BBB. Injectafer and iron sucrose, in my humble opinion, don’t stand
