Ivf abroad-were to do the pre op tests in Uk?
I am planning to have my first IVF procedure in Prague next month. I had an email from them with some blood tests required and a letter from my GP/specialist to confirm that I am fit for surgery however my GP said they’re unable to help. I will contact the clinic to see if there’s anyway I can get that

TWW recommendations
We are hopefully having a day 3 transfer tomorrow if its made it the weekend, anybody here who had a day 3 transfer and had success? Tips for managing my mind and anxiety in the TWW period? We’ve been TTC for 3.5 years, this is our first IVF cycle and had less eggs than we’d expected so if this one

what is best to go for a single round or multiple
hi all I’m just looking into doing IVF using donor eggs/sperm. I had a successful IUI in 2017 using donor sperm, gave birth to my beautiful son 2018, since then I’ve had two failed IUI’s and three failed rounds of IVF using my own eggs and donor sperm, I’m now looking into using donor eggs but just wondered

Prednisolene for IVF
For those who were taking prednisolene for your transfer-what was your dose and when did you stop it ? I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant on 25mg of prednisolene and should start lowering my dose from next week however I’m worried if the baby is strong enough for me to stop the pills ?

Hpv and ivf
I was told at my last smear I have hpv , clinic told me it doesn’t affect my treatment however after 2 failed transfers I’m wondering … I’m reading it has been shown to reduce implantation. Has anyone had hpv and successful ivf or share their story with me please ❤️

TSH at 5 weeks pregnant
Hey, I’m 5 weeks pregnant after IVF and my had my TSH checked on Monday, it was 2.14, I spoke to my GP yesterday who said I’m under 2.5 so it’s ok and they will check me again in a few weeks and to stay on same dose 125. I had another blood test yesterday and it’s come back at 2.41. I know technically

Coventry clinic - 2nd results due - what to ask? Expect?
Hi all, I had my first set of tests & biopsy at Coventry end of last year, and other than a “robust lining” (97th percentile), Prof Brosens didn’t see anything to treat. He explained this could change month to month and so we should re-test another cycle, to see if consistent. Totally understand & agreed

Where to source Intralipids in London?
I am due to start a FET next month and would like to add intralipids into the cycle due to having three miscarriages during previous IVF cycles. However my clinic doesn’t offer this service so does anyone know where I could have Intralipids done without needing a prescription? I would be looking in

6 weeks pregnant and brown spotting
I had some brown spotting today and am concerned as this is how my chemical pregnancy started last cycle. I don't have my viability scan for another 2 weeks. I don't think there's any point telling the IVF clinic just yet as last time they only did a beta test for me once I started with bright red blood

Diet and egg quality
Hey, I've did one round of IVF - got 20 eggs and only 3 made it to day 5. I was told many of the eggs were immature and I know I really need to make changes to my diet to have any chance of success next round. I live on ALOT of sugar and only recently read about how bad this can be, can anyone give me

Positivity needed please
Hello! I’m currently 4dp5dt of a FET. Im actually loosing my mind. This is my 3rd transfer and I have 2 children through ivf already (so so so lucky). Last transfer I tested positive on day 4 after implantation pain and spotting day 2/3 so I took a test today and BFN. I always test early as I find it

8dp5dt - first BFP after 13 years TTC!
Hi, I caved and tested early today 8dp5dt of a frozen blast. I did a first response and got a line but then did a digital to double check and it definitely looks like a BFP 🤞🏻 My OTD isn’t until Tuesday when I go for a blood test so 4 more days to wait. I can’t actually believe it but I’m trying

A very sensitive post
Tonight, I reflect on my fertility journey. I got married in my early 30's and came to England, but marriage did not work. I started working at a fast food restaurant, earning enough to cover my rent, food, and some little savings. Of all I desire in life, family is number one. I moved on with my life

Aches and pains
Hello, I haven't been posting much as I am waiting on my next cycle to start (clinic availability issues post-Christmas). I've now had nearly two months off. Two months off the drugs. Two months with no injections. Two months without the stress. I'm not going to lie - although it wasn't my choice I was

Bad skin during IVF
I am having terrible skin at the moment. Since starting on Progynova tablets the texture of the skin on my face has gone very strange, almost a bit leathery in places. Make up sits really weirdly on my skin now and it’s making me so self conscious. I wondered if anyone else had experienced that and

Hi, the Big Fat Negative podcast duo are hosting an instagram live next Wednesday 31 Jan, 7.30-8.15 pm UK. I find them really relatable and honest about their fertility issues They are co-hosting with independent fertility expert Professor Tim Child who MiniCeeCeeposted about yesterday for his Q&A live

Recommendations on places for a Hysteroscopy
I told myself I wouldn’t test and yet I have been testing since 3dp5dt, now 5dp5dt and negative again . My symptoms have been so severe from the oestrogen and the progesterone . I have been pregnant before and it makes you feel pregnant . I have upmost respect and compassion for women that have multiple
