Donor Egg - to test or not?
Any DE mamma’s here? Just wondering how many DE FET’s you had before getting your BFP. We are about to embark on our first DE journey but my husband has said it’s one go & that’s us (5 prev IVF cycles & 1 DD later)… So, to give us the best chance, do we opt for PGT-A testing & therefore 1 embie

Ivf first cycle failed
Hi, I have just completed my first cycle of fresh ivf and received a negative pregnancy test. This has really knocked me and I'm so scared about doing a FET for that to fail along with trying to be happy in myself. Sometimes it feels as though this has consumed me over the last 2 years, our tests have

Delayed period cyclogest
I'm due to test on Saturday (the wait is killing me). We had a previous IVF cycle a couple of months ago that failed and I had spotting then my period came right on time. This time my period was meant to arrive yesterday but I don't feel too hopeful and I've read progesterone can delay your period.

Seeking Guidance on Obtaining UKAS Accredited Blood Test Reports for IVF
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I recently initiated my IVF journey at a private clinic and am exploring the possibility of utilising my NHS blood test results to avoid unnecessary expenses. Unfortunately, the private clinic requires specific details, including confirmation of UKAS accreditation

Early Pregnancy & Hashimoto
I have just had my first ever positive HPT after 5 years of TTC and 2 failed IVF cycles. I have calculated that I am approximately 6 weeks pregnant. I was diagnosed with hashimoto Thyroditis roughly 2 years ago and have been on 100mcg levothyroxine since. My last bloods came back normal in early November

how long did you have to wait for cycle review apt?
I rang my clinic on 20/11 to advise AF had arrived and was told I would be put forward for a review. Ten days later after hearing nothing I chased it up… I was told I’m 18th in the queue for a review and it may be several weeks. I asked for further clarification on dates and received a call yesterday

Ivf loss - due to lack of TSH/ Hypothyroidism monitoring? Any advice appreciated :)
Hello all, very useful & supportive group this! :) thanks in advance for any thoughts.. My partner has hypothyroidism, and takes levothyroxine for it. She had 1st ever IVF transfer (frozen) in November, which became positive but sadly didn’t get past 4 weeks. Out of curiosity, she asked her GP to test

IVF Wales NHS
Hi all! I just wondered if there's anyone else out there waiting for IVF in Wales through the NHS? We've been on the waiting list since July 2023 and I've read it can take a minimum of 12 months just for an initial consultation! I've been really struggling the last few months, I feel quite guilty as

Vitamin A - retinol.
Dr. John Campbell posted a video about how low vitamin A (retinol) levels predispose a person to experience pneumonia from the Mycoplasm pneumoniae which is currently at near epidemic levels among children in northern China. No surprise here to be honest considering the severe lockdowns. Children have

hi all. can anyone recommend a good mutli vitamin leading up ivf ? I feel taking them individually is a lot to take and it be easier to take a multi one which gives the right amount of dosage needed per vitamin for preparation for a transfer whenever that will be . thanks

feeling guilty for breaking my no drinking
Ivf happening in January. I’ve been so good for months and months, no alcohol, fertility diet, supplements, yoga, accupuncture - the lot. It was husbands birthday and he organised a big get together with friends. We both got absolutely drunk, I’d kind of figured before hand there was absolutely no

IVF and exercise
I was just wondering if anyone had been given specific advice on exercise while having IVF. I feel like my doctor is a bit vague every time I ask . I’m 33 and usually exercise 3-5 times a week, either HIT or weight training and have done so for years ( a CrossFit style gym). I stopped for the egg retrieval

DE and higher risk of pre-eclampsia?
hi all, I am venturing down the DE route for a sibling and I’m now nearly 43 but thankfully had a healthy IVF pregnancy with my son when I was 40/41. The consultant briefly mentioned an elevated risk of high blood pressure with DE but did not say pre-eclampsia and now I have researched a little it

Sensitive : BFP rainbow baby
I was in two minds if to write this post as I know how difficult it is to read these updates if you are still struggling. and the fact that I am still in shock at a positive result. But I would also like to share a story of hope. So some of you will know my history, we had success on our second ICSI

Coffee and 2WW
Good morning all, I'm desperately craving a coffee this morning! My transfer was last Monday and I've been drinking herbal teas mostly since but really want a coffee!! I know the IVF clinic's advice is to minimize caffeine/ no caffeine during 2WW but I would love to know what everyone else is doing/
