We are hopefully having a day 3 transfer tomorrow if its made it the weekend, anybody here who had a day 3 transfer and had success?
Tips for managing my mind and anxiety in the TWW period?
We’ve been TTC for 3.5 years, this is our first IVF cycle and had less eggs than we’d expected so if this one doesn’t make it to transfer we are back to stims for the chance to produce more eggs next time.

oh I am hoping so hard for you !! My first ivf round was a day three transfer. My numbers weren’t great too, I only had two poor quality embryos by day three so my clinic transferred both back in. We now have a happy healthy 2.5 year old girl from that round. All the luck in the world to you x
in terms of 2ww and passing the time I like trying to plan ‘fun’ things everyday. Ie. Trying a new recipe, watching film, baking a cake, going out to a cafe for a coffee or exploring a new place. I also find headspace meditations great and recently started doing yoga 30 day course that actually has been quite good so far!
Sorry I don’t have any experience with day 3 transfers but you certainly hear of people doing them all the time so must make babies too!! I hope this works for you 🤞
Also interested in others suggestions for 2ww activities though as always need more and only just started the wait for us! xx
My oldest son was a 2dt and my twin boys were a 3dt so absolutely you can get success. I am a firm believer of when you have low numbers of viable embryos, the best place for them is back in the uterus as soon as possible. Best of luck
hello! My situation is very similar to yours… except I’m on day 9 and I’m struggling with the TWW also! It’s so tough isn’t it!
Keeping really busy has been the only distraction for me but as soon as I stop, I’m googling stuff! Probably not the best person to reply to you 😂 but I’m right there with you! Best of luck xx
I totally agree that giving yourself some light distraction can be really helpful. Try to be as kind to your mind and body as you can. I also find meditation apps helpful as they also have lots of different mindset tips.
I found reading a good book, catch up calls with friends, playing board games, some walks in the fresh air. Also pottering about in natural environments helpful for my mind and body.
I know it’s hard but if at all possible avoid symptom spotting and googling and trying to take it just one day at a time.
