Asthma UK Nurse Question - Steroid Burst and Fostair?
I'm in that group with permanent access to oral steroids plus anti-biotics if I become more poorly than usual. I prefer keeping my time on Oral Steroids to an absolute minimum and, having yesterday started on 40mg Oral Steroids (already feeling better than yesterday) what's the 'minimum' number of days

Feeling positive
Well I actually did something I usually put off and went to the doctors and I'm so pleased I did, I normally don't go unless I'm dying as I put it off as I seem to spend half my life going to hospital appointments etc, but I've been really struggling lately not just with the pain and other arthritis

I have been given over 160 Liothyronine.
Me again! from Jersey. I was happy to see my friend back on the T3 again. And as I had posted my blood test results - back in, I think it was July (from a June test) , I spent a fortune on various supplements. These were the thyroid results from June. tsh- 0.87 ( 0.50 - 5.00 ) Free Thyroxine - 13.1

RLS for 13 years
Hi I'm new here. I have suffered with severe RLS and PLMD for 13 years, diagnosed 2 years ago by a sleep study. I have tried natural remedies, iron and magnesium supplements, copper bracelets, and have been prescribed many medications unsuccessfully including ropinerole, clonazepam, nitrazepam, melatonin

Augmentation, opiates, benzodiazepines
I read a lot on here about the danger of augmentation with dopamine agonists and of switching to opiates. But from what I read, opiates are also dopamine agonists. My doc is probably about as keen to let me have opiates or even benzodiazepines as offer an alcohol a drink. I, myself, have thought occasionally

Sleep
Just wondering if any one has found meds that they are allowed to take routinely that actually work. I was on zopiclone which worked but they took me off it after a few weeks. Given zolpidem but you can only take it for a few nights. Also tried phenergan but it says you can only take it for 7days so

Diminished RLS after missing amlodipine for one day
Landed up in hospital yesterday 6a.m. with ?heart attack. As usual had had only just over an hour asleep. Almost simultaneously on waking had felt heavy weight on chest and enormous pain and heaviness in left arm. Put it down to panic attack, but by 3 took diazepam - nothing. 4 - took co-codamol - nothing

Struggle and stress
You will ALL know about this !! Some stress cannot be removed obviously , but some is totally unnecessary. Been struggling to get a doctor from surgery to visit, my husband has not seen a GP in 4 years, Zopiclone kept being denied on repeat prescription, without this my husband calls all night to get

Anxiety and insomnia
Just wondered what you all thought. I have anxiety which can stop me sleeping. My GP has withdrawn my zopiclone as she says it is addictive. She says you don't get a good quality of sleep. My thinking is sleeping all night is such a blessing and if you don't sleep it makes the anxiety much worse like

a rant..because i have to..
So a few days ago I was sat on a train, staring blankly out of the window trying to read the graffiti on the walls and bridges anything really to take my mind off the pain and block out the constant chattering of the many on their mobiles. I sank into my seat and attempted to close my eyes, perhaps I thought
