Fatigue/insomnia - is mirtazapine helpful?
Since last summer, I have been experiencing very poor sleep, and extreme fatigue. Episodes of nausea, sweating and shaking seem to follow any exertion. MY rheumy suggests that chronic insomnia is preventing my body recovering and perpetuating this extreme fatigue etc. So I have been on 30mg amitriptyline

Venlafaxine and insomnia
I'm so glad I've found this forum! I started my venlafaxine 37.5mg one daily. It seems to be helping tremendously with my severe anxiety, even after 4 days. BUT...I have the insomnia. It's a nightmare. Does anyone know if the insomnia eases? Does it increase as I may increase my doses? What could my

Save me from a Zombie Christmas?
Another day, another problem....this time it's my chronic sleeplessness. Plus the resulting zombie-fication during the day. Here's the picture - I have been on prednisolone since April, slowly tapering down to 8.5mg, but have been finding it increasingly difficult to sleep. During the day, I am permanently

Zopiclone - to take or not to take?
Quick question. My sleep has been atrocious for months, and now is so poor that I get about 2 hours a night. I am so tired that I can do nothing but sit around all day, too exhausted for any physical tasks. I would love to nap, but find that I continually wake after a few minutes, feeling like death,

Need encouragement desperately.
Hey guys so it's been a few weeks since I came off medication but sadly I'm still left in the same position psychologically. Every time I think something no matter what it is and in what form it takes it sets off physical reactions. Muscle spasms, stinging pains, burning sensations, chemically cold

How do you cope with your atrial fibrillation
I have had permanent Afib for a few years but peculiarly I have only noticed the random heart beats, very pronounced of a night only since my heart operation earlier this year. Before that although the Afib was there I did not even know what it was or even feel it. Even now day time it generally goes

In recovery, Getting back to Basics
Hello, I have had a turbulent few months and I apologize for not checking in on the forum. I have had internet access but have developed a bit of a fixation with podcasts and knitting patterns (my dopamine hit, it could be worse, eh?) and don't extend myself much beyond those. I was determind to hold
