Low Calcium & Testosterone from Depo Provera shot?
Hello, I've been on the Depo Provera shot for over a year to control my Endometriosis and Migraines. I recently had a private blood test by Blue Horizon and it shows I have low Calcium and really low Testosterone. I've spoken to a digital GP who advised low Testosterone is one of the side effects

Help to interpret 24 h saliva test results, please
In January ´20, I ordered a 24 h saliva test kit from Genova Diagnostics (overnight delivery using DHL, samples kept refrigerated at all times). The results showed slightly elevated cortisol levels throughout the day. I´d really appreciate comments on the results (reference ranges in brackets): Drugs

Estradiol vs ADT?
I seek the experience (and even the opinion!) of the hive mind on this: I hear and read occasionally about oestradiol as being equivalent to LHRH agonists for testosterone suppression minus some of the famous nasty side effects. My instinct is that it’s too good to be true but I’m keeping an open

Does Casodex Cause Testosterone Spike?
Does anyone know if Casodex can cause an initial spike in testosterone levels? I had been on Casodex for almost 2 weeks in preparation for my ADT treatment. In that time, my testosterone level nearly doubled from 404 to 760 (my PSA dropped from. 0.022 to 0.009). I thought one purpose of the Casodex

Surgical castration?
[69yr. active, PSA 17.47 (tested for Urolift), Biopsy 3/30/20: Gleason 9 (4+5 & 5+4), No spread CT/MRI, possible extension to periphery] Just now wrapping my head around this. I sure hope that someone can point out something that I am missing! I'm an engineer and I am not ashamed to bring cost effectiveness

Is 0.012(3months post op) PSA to 0.024 after 6 months a significant rise?
Can it be a lab specific interval where 0.012 is the lowest detectable and 0.024 is next factor? Obviously will have to wait for next test, but it still looks a bit concerning this quick after RP. First read was while recovering from surgery and this one after 3 months of working (he does physical labor

Growth hormone deficiency after head injury
Does anyone know an endocrinologist in Belfast who would refer a contact of mine for a glucagon stimulation test or other dynamic test for growth hormone deficiency? He is having great difficulty finding an endo who will do this, although he had a serious head injury in his teens and research indicates

Can lowered testosterone reduce penis length?
Hi. I'm currently having tests because of very frequent night sweats. Around 75 since Christmas. Clinicians are concentrating on possible cancers. Hopefully they'll be negative. However, I'm sure I've read that low testosterone can have night sweats as a side effect. If it does prove to be that, I do

Trying to Make Sense of Husbands Testosterone History and Wanting to Clarify Why a Doctor Feels He May Be Becoming CR.
I have been looking back at my husbands T numbers over his three year history of treatment and looking for thoughts after a doctor today made a comment Charlie is becoming CR and should try Provenge. Little history. T has always been low in Charlie. Usually below 300 for 15 years prior to being diagnosed

DHEA ? Yea or Nay
Hi all, Sorry if this is a repeat question as we see this supplement mentioned quite often. Just saw a video how DHEA is contributing to testosterone levels and how it can be out of balance when under stress. Also it was mentioned to NOT self prescribe. Tbh I do not know my ovarian reserve numbers

Help With Reconnecting and Mending
My husband and I have been married for the last 30 years. We love each other very much; he is a caring and supportive man and my best friend. For the last few years though, he has been struggling with low testosterone issues and a lowered libido as a result of it. I have never had the highest sex drive

Is Nubeqa (daralutamide) considered ADT?
I'm taking Nubeqa as a sole agent. Had RP 2007, EBRT 2009, was in a clinical trial at NIH using Xtandi (enzalutamide) and getting Prostvac with success for almost 4 years. When PSA went to 13 and the NIH Xtandi trial ended, my local MO started me on Nubeqa last November. I'm an avid cyclist and dealing

Testosterone and PD
Has any male PwPD over 60 yrs old noticed any improvement or benefit in taking testosterone? It's bad enough having PD, but the loss of muscle mass, loss of drive, and gaining of weight associated with reduced testosterone is more than I can handle. Will health insurance pay for HRT if it helps PD symptoms

PCa & Melanoma.
Interesting new study below. [1] I would not have expected a PCa/Melanoma association. The diseases have opposite associations with lattitude (i.e. with sun / vitamin D exposure.) There are 88 PubMed hits for <prostate[title] melanoma[title]>. There are a surprising number for metastatic melanoma to
