Testosterone and PD

Has any male PwPD over 60 yrs old noticed any improvement or benefit in taking testosterone? It's bad enough having PD, but the loss of muscle mass, loss of drive, and gaining of weight associated with reduced testosterone is more than I can handle. Will health insurance pay for HRT if it helps PD symptoms?

You may want to try Boron +D first. May help improve your testosterone level more naturally. Boron deficiency is pretty common.

I am on HRT because my testosterone level was low. I have 11 weekly injections.

Is it beneficial ? Any undesirable side effects?

in reply to DeanGreen

It is beneficial as it has put my levels up. I will need to continue with it for ever or risk osteoporosis. It also comes with a greater risk of prostate cancer. One noticeable side effect is the shrinking of your testicles - as they no longer have to produce testosterone.
