Update on Husband
Hi all - We got the results back last week from my husband's JAK2 test. It was negative. Since then he has had 5 phlebotomies (one each week) and his Hemoglobin has come down from 21 to 14.5. No enlarged spleen. Platelets, WBC, and EPO are all normal. My husband feels 10 years younger. No more headaches

Struggling with my weight
I’m also on HRT -
Estradiol
, progesterone,
testosterone
to managed post menopause symptoms. I only restarted this following my total hysterectomy in January 2019 as I was feeling yuck after this op. Depression, joint pain and uncontrollable weight gain.

Happy Thanksgiving Fine Gentlemen! Question... I had my last scheduled Eligard shot in early September. Originally was to be on it for 2 years as part of a clinical trial. As I’ve stated in another post, I had RP in June ‘19. 4+3 Gleason in about 2/3 of the cores in one side only. PSA 15.4 at diagnosis

BAT, dutasteride, and my search for truth, Part 1 of 2
I have received many helpful comments on my queries about BAT and dutasteride. Overall, the evidence favors continuing dutasteride during BAT (Nalakrats opined “I would use to defend against DHT, which would be increased. And I would watch E2, and not let it get out of the 20's.”) But I have trouble

Update: need advice!
Hello! I thought it was time for another update since it’s been a few months since my last one. I’ve been staying with my grandparents for almost 2 months now and I’ve found a new GP to help me with my throat/neck problems. He is so nice he’s the best doctor I’ve had in the last 9 months that I’ve had

Anybody here have experience with different types of anti-depressants??
I was on Citalopram for about six months, but didn't cope with it well. I am somewhat of an athlete and train in weightlifting and sports that require maximum muscle strength and explosiveness over short bursts of time... Citalopram apparently inhibits testosterone production and also functions as

Vagifem - Estradiol
Hello ladies, It’s been now a second month I’m being prescribed Vagifem. The hot flashes are getting stronger. The cold sweats are unbearable.... Also realised that each flare is lasting longer (spent 2 weeks unable to make a move).. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I was 2y under Decapeptyl (

Advice and Opinions would be great.
Hey guys, Would love to get your input into potential options for my Dad. We’re at the point we need try something new now. So we have done triple hormone therapy Bicalutamide (which we stopped a few years back) Degarelix and Zytiga are also not suppressing a PSA rise now which is currently

Low Testosterone - Help with going private
I have finally been diagnosed with Low Testosterone after being around the low end of normal for years. Whilst I want the problem sorted I want to make sure that the doctor is open and willing to prescribe TRT if it is necessary. I also want one that is willing to listen to me and not be totally fixated

What to do now?
My son has been on thyroxine for over a year now and TSH down from around 5 to about 2 but no improvement in fatigue. We have checked all vitamins and supplemented. He is taking Teva 100 and 75mg on alternate days. He is trying fluoxetine now too. Should we try coming off thyroxine if not helping.

Endometrial lining too thin.
Arrgg! Lining check on day 10 was 7mm. Doctor said it's not good enough for frozen ET. Wants to see me again in 2 days time. Added patches and increased estradiol pill dosage. How likely is lining to thicken in just 2days? Any experience will really help. Thanksx

Lab results variation on Testosterone
I had two MD appointments, and each MD ordered a Testosterone check. I took both orders to my usual lab to get a single blood draw for both lab orders. The standard T test done by the onsite lab showed T = 262. The "advanced" T test (which also include Free T) was done by an offsite lab and showed T

Gleason score increase, now what?
Husband was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in Sept with a Gleason score of 7, post op his score increased to 9. What should we be looking to do next? The doctor took 17 lymph nodes and there was nothing but it not confined to only the prostate as we thought it was. Wondering if he should be taking treatments

Weightlifting with Depression/SAD or Meds & ruined sport?
Hi all, I am a weightlifter - my sport is my number one coping mechanism for my depression and SAD. Throughout the winter months, my depression tends to get quite bad and with COVID this year it's definitely been a bit of a rollercoaster. I went on meds around March this year (Citalopram - a type
