It’s been now a second month I’m being prescribed Vagifem. The hot flashes are getting stronger. The cold sweats are unbearable.... Also realised that each flare is lasting longer (spent 2 weeks unable to make a move)..
I don’t know if it’s the fact that I was 2y under Decapeptyl (with add back therapy) and 2y on leuprorelin (no add back therapy).
I’m now not perusing any GNRH treatment because of my low bones density (age 27..) but I started Cerazette and my consultant put me on Vagifem also.
It’s all a little bit confusing and this pandemic makes everything slower, which is definitely getting the best of me...
I was then wondering if anyone had any experience with this Vagifem treatment and can relate...

I’m not on the same treatment but would have thought if you still get hot flushes/flashes then you need more? I personally find any sugar triggers my hot flushes, so having milk in coffee causes issues as it contains natural sugar. Anything with sugar causes me issues not just the obvious sugary foods and drinks.
I had to stop my treatment briefly last year and the hot flushes were horrendous while not on treatment. Restarting treatment meant they have diminished greatly, unfortunately I had to change brand due to supply issues here in the uk and the next lot were/are not as good hense I have hot flushes. The next prescription is the original brand so I’m hoping they will be better.
I will have a talk with my consultant then. I’m supposed to see him on the 26th. So hopefully he’ll have some answers.
I have a fan on all night to help. Bless the partner tbh...
Oh that’s great to hear !! So yeah once the right level of hormones, the hot flashes will then slowly disappear.
I am a bit cautions when it comes to all these oestrogen. I remember one of these treatments back in France (it was a cream) and it was clearly not suitable for me. And I didn’t have any other prescribed after...
Which treatment are you on if you don’t mind me asking?
