Estradiol Resistance to Arimidex with Low T
The doc and I are scratching our heads over the failure a high dose (4g/day) of arimidex to reduce estradiol below 150. I took my last T injection November 1 when my PSA jumped to 9 and then to 12.5 December 1. Subsequently in mid December the PSA retreated back to 10.0 :) However the estradiol

Is my cancer still hormone sensitive?
I had my last Eligard 3 month shot on March 2, 2021, when I started a ADT break. By beginning of September my PSA was 0.10 with T <20. On December 2021, my PSA rose to 0.18 with T = 28. I had another PSA and T test today, six weeks later. My PSA has risen to 0.34 and my T = 54. Since my testosterone

looking for pcos support! (new here)
Hey, everyone! I'm new here and I was advised to try and find folks with a similar experience to mine. I got diagnosed with PCOS after having exactly zero (0) periods until I was 21, and then only like... two after that? My GP highly recommended I seek treatment when I was 19 (which I delayed for several

STAMPEDE will result in more data on estrogen patches and also data on metformin.
It is encouraging that the SOC opinions about estrogen patches for ADT, and the use of testosterone are changing. I was diagnosed just over 3 years ago so I wasn't following PCa trials and therapies before 2018. However, it seems that some progress is being made. Is this an accurate statement or wishful

Can cirrhosis come and go? Should I be receiving 6 month scans?
I was diagnosed with NAFLD a few years ago, I had a traumatic episode where I experienced an episode of cirrhosis like 'symptoms' which led to me attempting to take my own life. A series of psychotic episodes led to me being sectioned. After a fibroscan that showed 9.8 stiffness and 240 I was told

Prostate Cancer & Brugada Syndrome
Almost 3 years ago, while being prepped for surgery for a small bowel obstruction, my ECG showed I was having a 'heart attack' that wasn't. Instead I was later diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome (BrS), a genetic defect of the Sodium channels in the heart that can trigger a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). This

Breast Tenderness post Eligard
It's been a year since my last 3-month Eligard injection (following radical prostatectomy and salvage radiation) and my PSA level in late November has stayed undetectable while my testosterone level has risen to 13.2 nmol/L. Recently my breasts have become quite tender. Will this resolve on its own or

More in Zinc, Clioquinol, and Cabergoline for Prolactin

PCa-specific Survival after Radical Prostatectomy Is Improved by Metformin but not other Antidiabetic Drugs
New study from Finland below [1]. "Only postdiagnostic metformin use was associated with reduced risks of PCa death {53% reduction} and ADT initiation compared with nonusers." While Metformin users would be predominantly diabetic, it looks as though "nonusers" inxlude non-diabetics. "insulin and insulin

Testosterone lowering but PSA rising
2015 Prostatectomy, external beam radiation and two yrs ADT (Zoladex) and four yrs active surveillance. However, Dec 2020 PSA was 2.59 and Dec 2021 now 6.9. Testosterone Dec 2020 was 22.2 but Dec 2021 it has dropped to 13.6. Why is my testosterone going down while my PSA is rising? I understand the rising
