Hi all, Just to recap, I was diagnosed PMR/GCA September 2014, started on 60mg prednisolone- pain free within a day. Down to 5mg August 2015. CRP and ESR slowly creeping up, so sent for a CT scan in October 2015, as this proved inconclusive I had a PETscan in November 2015. Results of that were large

Tumeric
Hi Everyone, I posted the other day ,regarding having to get up with gut ache and having to go to the loo during the night. I think the problem was taking a Tumeric supplement . It was advertised as helping with IBS symptoms , however, looks like it made my symptoms worse. Has anyone else tried

Turmeric??
I'm currently not taking any meds due to impending (hopefully at least) pregnancy. I have steroid injections but they last at best 3 weeks and I have to wait at least 6 weeks between injections. I'm pretty desperate so I've turned herbal. I'm reading Margaret Hill's book about treating it drug free

Hi, I would be really grateful for some advice about anti inflamatory I've been taking naproxen for around two months which I started during a big flare up. Natural/Alternative Remedies for Polymyalgia Rheumatica..for my 82 yr old Grandma
So my usually fit, healthy and sprightly Grandma was recently diagnosed with PMR. She has always had trouble with her back/neck, but usually only lasting a week or so. I believe she is on Prednisone (She lives in the Channel Islands and I'm in UK so not 100% sure which drug exactly she is taking), but

Tumeric
Hi all! I posted two weeks ago I think asking about Tumeric, sorry I haven't been back on before today to respond but I will get around to it in the next day - the baby has me run ragged. Anyway, I got it and have been taking one capsule a day. I think you're supposed to take two but I'm lucky if I

2ww Blues. Need to find hope
I just feel low abdomen pressure if that makes sense which could be chalked up to the
Estrace
and prog. Who knows! I guess I need to hear some uplifting stories from situations similar to mine. All I have is time until my beta on 12-4 and it's killing me mentally.

Acupuncture for Fatigue
Hi Fellow CLL-ers, I've been waiting to write this until enough time had gone by to provide a sufficient test. Now it has, and I can. Acupuncture had reduced my fatigue levels dramatically. I feel almost back to normal. I have posted here before about fatigue and its effects on my life. At that

Official diagnosis
I posted the other day that it was suspected that I have CLL/SLL. Today I saw my oncologist and he confirmed that diagnosis. I am on watch and wait. He did tell me that I don't have any markers that would suggest my CLL will be aggressive but I also don't have the markers that would suggest I may

how much adrenal cortex extract per day?
There are supplements containing anything from 50 to 500 mg of ACE per capsule. I found one by Essential Therepeutics simply called Adrenal Cortex which provides 500 mg of bovine ACE per capsule, whereas 250 mg per capsule seems most common. Does anyone have any idea how much ACE to take? I realise
