Enema
Hi everyone, Was given an
enema
at my pre op today to do Sunday around 5pm in prep for my lap on Monday. But they said you can eat after doing it? Do you have to have another at hospital the morning of lap or does it usually work enough to not need another? Xx

Asacol vs Salofalk foam enema
As many of you who have been using Asacol foam
enema
know, this product has now been discontinued and as a result my GP prescribed Salofalk instead. However, I'm not sure it does such a good job as the Asacol did. Does anyone else have a similar experience of these two products?

Slow Transit Colon with rectocele and intussusception - Prucalopride
Still requiring
enema
. I did start eating normal with lots of vegies, comparing to pre-Resotran. Maybe this is causing it too hard..so I will try go back to slow transit colon diet, lower fiber, soft food again and see how it works with prucalopride.

Constipation
They gave me an
enema
, which worked but I still had the pain. The doctor said I was so impacted that it was pressing on the nerves of my spine and has damaged them. I can no longer walk without a zimmer frame and have had to have my bed brought downstairs and have to use a commode.

impacted bowel problem
My poor mum who is 93 has had a fall. She damaged her back quite severely and has been on strong doses of morphine whilst in hospital alongside a cocktail of antibiotics. This and alongside a swallowing difficulty whereby she can only eat and drink small amounts has lead to an impacted bowel. In hospital

Reposting of comments on depression and the gut. How to heal the gut naturally
Campbell-McBride's instructions for
enema
in her "Constipation" chapter in the book "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" (once you've done it once it's not so bad, and sure gives INSTANT relief!). We never use over the counter preparations because of how this can create "dependency".

Or at least more testing than a CAT scan or a barium
enema
? Definitely NO MORE COLONOSCOPIES !! I have had close to 10 in the last 12 years and all they do is make my condition worse !!!

I know this is TMI but
Ok so I just did my first
enema
(never done it before except for the drink for colonoscopy) but can any air being “pumped” into the bowel cause me any harm because I’m worried I may have accidentally squeezed air in.

Worsening Constipation and Strange Tightness in Lower Left Rib
I have been suffering from worsening constipation and a strange sensation like a twig or boiled sweet is stuck in my lower left ribcage since June. It is more apparent when lying flat on my back. 15 days post op ........... the journey starts here
The nurse said your not gonna like this but I need you to lie on your left hand side on the bed which I did and she proceeded to give me an embarrassing sepository and an
enema
I had to lay there for at least 10 minutes or longer if I could ignoring the urge to go.

Holby Sh*tty - Episode 5 a.k.a. And so it came to pass that on the 13th day...
I rang the bell and told the nurse to which she shouted back at me, "You don't need a poo, you've had an
enema
!". Well, says I, you either get me to the toilet quick or I'm going to shit in the bed.
