Enema

Hi everyone,

Was given an enema at my pre op today to do Sunday around 5pm in prep for my lap on Monday. But they said you can eat after doing it?

Do you have to have another at hospital the morning of lap or does it usually work enough to not need another? Xx

I just thought i'd post even though I don't know about the evening before enema; I wasn't given one. I asked about bowel prep and they said the nurse will do it when I'm admitted in the morning of the lap. Usual fasting time period so I could eat until 10pm that night, no drinks after 6am in the morning.

I would have thought anything you ate at 5pm would be in your bowels by the next morning, well it is with me! so they might do another at the hospital; it could be just to help them out as there's only one meal to clear. sorry if tmi.
