How often should varices be checked?
Should he be having an annual
endoscopy
to check for additional varices? Should he be seeing a gastroenterologist? Our family physician is the one that orders his prescriptions and requisitions for blood work.

B12 injections
My doctor is having me go through all the usual GI tests, upper
endoscopy
, colonoscopy and even sending me for a PET scan. I have said that I really feel this is all B12 deficiency related.

Coeliac Diagnosis confirmed (alongside Hashimoto's)
In March I received a diagnosis of Hashimoto's with hypothyroidism (currently working with my GP to find the right dose of levothryroxine) I had an
endoscopy
for small bowel biopsy in April and met with the gastro consultant on Saturday who confirmed a diagnosis of coeliac disease.

Health Anxiety Sucks
So fast forward and I had lots of days of crying and lots of days of worry and I do have an
endoscopy
on Thursday and my doctor is almost positive that it caused either gastritis or esophagitis or ulcers or something like that.

Endoscopy
He had an
endoscopy
today which showed no sign of cancer or varices. However may I ask a few questions. His tummy still seems a little bloated from the
endoscopy
, how do I know if this is the cause or wether it’s the start of ascites in the abdomen? Does ascites develop quickly ?

CT Scan unable to diagnose Liver Haemangioma vs malignant Tumours?
I had some stomach pain issues and went for an
endoscopy
back in Nov 2021. The doc found Gastritis but also asked me to do an ultrasound. I did and they found a mass on my liver. Doc asked me to go for a CT scan with IV contrast of the abdominal.

Need advice
I'm awaiting a colonoscopy,
endoscopy
& stomach scan since last October. In that time, I've had 4 or 5 episodes. I live in Spain so they only prescribe one drug and it's Euthyrox (as far as I know).

Losing the plot
We are currently travelling to Leeds for my partner to have his routine
endoscopy
, and the appointment/procedure letter has gone completely missing so running on faith here🙀. I've been thinking lately, that living with serious illness in the house is like living with a playground bully.

utm_source=salsa&eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=d7346b6c-cd3d-4651-80bb-7171ca3e8c20 I was prescribed Zantac for stomach issues many years ago until, fortunately, I arranged my own private
endoscopy
, which showed up H/pylori, (you’ll know this is one cause of B12 deficiency).

No. Go Endoscopy

Endoscopy
! Hi BKart, Very good to hear from you before I went for the
endoscopy
yesterday. After several hours in the hospital ( they insisted on a COVID test first) They were unable to sedate me, because they couldn’t find a vein to accommodate a cannula!

General Anaesthetics for Pulmonary-Hypertension patients
Hi there. I'm new to this community. I've just been referred to a Pulmonary-Hypertension consultant by my Cardiologist as my latest Echocardiogram says I have "intermediate probability of pulmonary hypertension", along with "moderate mitral valve regurgitation". My question relates to General Anaesthetics

IBD
I underwent
endoscopy
and colonoscopy 4 months ago and on
endoscopy
I was diagnosed with ulcer and hernia. The colonoscopy report was normal. I am continuing ulcer medicine. But for a while, a pinch of pain was felt on or near the side of my navel, sometimes it happens, but not for a while.

Metroclopramide for SIBO related Scleroderma
From a recent
endoscopy
it looks like I have gastropraisis and I wondered if this drug would help this. I think I have Vegus nerve involvement as pain is dreadful at times especially when my digestion is ‘limbering up’! Any advice appreciated
