Herpes (or acyclovir usage) affecting implantation after ivf embryo transfer?
I have had herpes for about 10 years. I have noticed more outbreaks during stims. I've already had 2 failed transfers and am worried both that having herpes and /or taking acyclovir will affect implantation for my last transfer. I've read some conflicting studies on acyclovir and it's effect on implantation

Not completely understand what's going on with me🤨
I had a UTI last week. It felt like I am having a stroke because my left arm felt tingly, burning and numb to my finger nails. I was rushed to the hospital ER to check me out! The doctor's did MRI to see if anything wrong with my brain. Nothing came up. So the doctor prescribed me some antibiotics

ET and Eylea injections for macular degeneration
I have been treated for ET for almost three years very successfully with 500 mg. daily hydroxycarbamide, 20 mg daily Rivaroxaban and 75 mg aspirin on some days of the week. Recently I had an extremely bad reaction to the antibiotic Trimethoprim where after three days of the course I developed migraine

Raised platelets and Eylea injections question for moderators or anyone with special knowledge
I suffer from a rare type of blood cancer in which my platelets are too high. They have been controlled during the last three years but recently have risen again. During the last six years I have been having Eylea injections for macular degeneration in both eyes (somewhere about 60 injections altogether

Caffeine Boost to Acetylcholine in NMJ?
After many years, I still have no diagnosis. I have all the symptoms of PMR, but no detectable inflammation (which is the usual cause). I also have half the amount of anti-AChR antibodies that is considered borderline for MG. I'm told this "is of no consequence". A while back I noticed that taking 1200mg

Question about aspirin.
I have Anti B2 glycoprotein antibodies and take 75mg aspirin daily, for that. Also have mildly low platelets which I'm told is cause for petechiae and occasional purple spots. In the past have had heavy periods, spontaneous large bruises and nosebleeds. The spots are now more frequent and now also

Hello everybody, It’s been a while since I’ve posted here and a lot has happened since. All my good looking pregnancy tests I’ve posted pictures on here last year ended in a chemical at 6.5 weeks. Our next cycle only produced two eggs and they didn’t fertilise. We have now moved on to donor eggs and

Omeprazole use
I am a long term user of Omeprazole along with a lot of other meds including aspirin. I had diarrhea at first but it did settle down. In the 80s I had serious ulcer issues resulting in major surgery and had Omeprazole been around then that would not of happened. Acid reflux can cause idiopathic pulmonary

Hi. I was given omeprazole instead of lameprazole as that was causing diarrhoea. Now ive found with omeprazole ive constantly got a dry mouth that no amount of fluids seems to be able to abate. Are there other meds other than omeprazole and lameprazole that protect rhe stomach against taking aspirin

Lemon & Ginger Tea
Hi I found some Tetley Lemon & Ginger Tea Bags. As I currently have an annoying cough I thought they would be good, especially with a spoonful of honey. I have just read that ginger is not good if you are on blood thinners and aspirin and am a bit worried as to whether I should be drinking it. Any

Low PAPP-A - experience?
The screening results from the 12 weeks combined test have just come back & I was notified of low PAPP-A (0.39). This resulted in no changes to the protocol, as I had already been referred to a high-risk pregnancy care due to it being an IVF DE pregnancy (so 150mg aspirin daily, serial growth scans from

Failed implantation - what tests should I get to investigate and is the NHS likely to take them into consideration?
Hi, I was lucky enough to get NHS funding for IVF. Had one FET so far and it failed to implant. If I wanted to get tests in private to investigate implantation failure, which ones should I get, and are NHS consultants likely to take them into consideration or am I wasting money?I have a positive test

Going bare with Aspirin
My triple bypass was over 4 years ago and I have been taking mini Aspirin for that length of time. However I cannot take any of the “prazolles” or the alternative. Up until now it’s been ok and I have been taking the odd Rennie or Gaviscon. I recognise the importance of how it can affect the stomach
