Help!! Severe aortic valve regurgitation
Hi there, I am a 53 year old lady with severe aortic valve regurgitation. I had decided to have the resilia tissue valve as I did not want to be on long term medication/blood thinners and I bruise very easily and am rather accident prone. When I saw the surgeon he said I would need to take aspirin

ET, platelets and stroke risk
Hello all from another new member. I was diagnosed with ET three months ago and as I am high-risk (over 60, JAK-2 positive, another mutation and a couple of TIA episodes) I have been prescribed daily aspirin and weekly Peg-interferon. I seem to have responded well to the interferon, as my platelets

I was diagnosed PV with positive Jak2 in November, 2022. Hydroxy and low dose aspirin has seemed to work for me. Good blood tests, only mild fatigue. But past few months, I developed a ringing in my ears and decided to have a hearing exam (at the urging of my PCP). It turns out that I have a condition

watchman after care meds
hi, everyone. I’ve been reading different conflicting things about lifetime aspirin vs stopping after the 6 months after the watchman procedure. I was wondering what those who had one’s protocol is. And how did you do? Thanks so much. Considering this.

Circulation
I have ET jak2-ve. I'm 53 and on aspirin with my platelets usually around 1300. The last 6/12 my circulation in my toes and fingers has been getting worse. My hands and feet get icy cold, blue, and sometimes even purple with a reduced capillary refill. My haematologist says this is nothing to do with

Coming off Beta Blockers and Eplerenone?
My HA was over a year ago and I am reasonably pleased with my recovery, as measured by physical activity levels with no discomfort during exertion. I have a GP meds review coming up, and I would like to know if suggesting a plan to eventually come off Bisoprolol (1.25mg/day) and Eplerenone (25mg/day

ET and fatigue
Hi, I am new to the site.My husband has recently been diagnosed with ET JAK2 positive. He has seen a haem but she doesn’t believe his extreme fatigue and brain fog is caused by ET. He is in his early 50’s and is deemed low risk due to his age and has been prescribed aspirin only. Do we seek a second

Advice on statins and vascular atheroma please
Story so far.... Had a recent hospitalisation in Cyprus for a problem unconnected to the thyroid (acute diverticular episode after 30 years of no major issues) which resulted in me having to have a CT scan when I returned from holiday. The scan was OK on the original issue, nothing sinister revealed

ET and dupixent
44 year old with ET jak2. I am on 81mg daily aspirin only. I have nasal polyps and mild asthma. I have not been able to smell for years. Is anyone with ET taking Dupixent? My ENT thinks it would be my best treatment option. If you are can you let me know what your experience with it is?

Hello friends, I recently had myself a Stroke, the ambulance and emergency depth staff were exceptional at their jobs and I was only in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for 3 days.
