got my blood results back and my platelets are constantly increasing each time. I’m on aspirin daily. Anyone know what other action I can take to try reducing platelets.

increase of platelets
The answer to your question would depend on how much of an increase over what period of time. Note that it is normal for platelets to vary by as much as 100 based on what is going on in your body. There are a number of things that can cause reactive thrombocytosis, including inflammation, infection, injury, iron deficiency and bleeding. When one has ET then any of these occurrences will push the level of thrombocytosis even higher.
It is important to note that there is no linear relationship between the absolute number of platelets and risk of thrombosis, though there is a relationship to risk of hemorrhage at higher platelet levels. The issue is more about how the platelets behave than how many of them there are. This is a complex issue that requires a nuanced understanding of blood cell activity.
Unless you have a history of thrombosis or co-occurring risk factors, at age 26 you would be considered at low risk at any platelet level under 1 - 1.5 million. If you find that over a protracted period of time that your level of thrombocytosis is steadily increasing in the absence of a known cause, then it would be time to consult with a MPN Specialist for closer evaluation. It is important for anyone with a MPN to see a MPN Specialist, but even more so for someone as young as you are with ET. Here is a list just in case you need it. mpnforum.com/list-hem./
