I went for a bike ride And felt something go in my right calf. Did not do any more exercise after this. I have felt pain around the veins in my right calf but not all the time, since then I was getting chest pains in the left side of my chest and shortness of breath. I do have Pulmonary Embolism in my left upper lobe and right lung and I am on. Rivaroxaban for the last 2 and half months. Nearly phoned 111 but it passed. Next morning chest pains all day so went to occupational health which had closed got sent to A and E and had bloods taken and x rays, ecg they were fine.Bp 187/99. Was recommended a CT scan. But wait was 4 hours and told it was to long to wait go to my own A and E. So I did they refused to do one and told to go home and take ibuprofen. Didn’t take that as it will cause major bleeds. Not likely to get any more clots due to blood thinners Dr said. Should I be concerned as I was fine before the weekend and getting fitter. The leg concerns me but they shrugged it of as not important. Speaking to my Gp today over Drug review. Any helpful insight would be welcome.

Spoke to the GP pharmacist on a review of Rivaoxaban . Spoke to him for 45 mins . Best conversation I have had with a health professional. He said the pain were muscular and how to tell the difference with the pains. Told me how to take the tablets with fatty food and with the main meal. So I don’t think I have had the best benefits from Rivaoxaban. Tablets benefits only last 12 to 24 hours. Now more reassured. Thank you.
