TEST results from Gallbladder.
I had a Hipa test for gallbladder squeeze and it showed I have 18% function. Supposed to have 40-100%... BUT I now am wondering if anyone did a "cleanse" for sludge etc. I have not had an ultrasound for stones but in 2019 I did and there were none. No more attacks. and I am hoping to keep it that way

I had a scan on my stomach as I was feeling nauseous every time I eaten anything so they found I had a fatty liver and a gallstone stuck at the top of my gallbladder but the surgeon said

Kidney stones and ibs
I believe thereās a link between kidney stones and ibs and other troubles in this area. Over the last 18 months Iāve had 6 treatments of lithotripsy. Finally my last scan said they were clear. Hooray I thought, it was short lived as the rest of the letter informs me, ā we have noticed a little deterioration

Low Carb or Calories
I would like to ask a question in the hope that someone has a scientific answer. The questIon is not about giving up processed food and sugar, which regardless of which diet you follow, is damaging to our health. Iāve lost 17lbs on a mixture of low carb, fasting and calorie counting and for me I think

Bowel prep for colonoscopy - long post. Sorry.
Hi. I thought I would kick off with the dreaded bowel preparation (clearing) required prior to having bowel examinations or surgery. There are a number of products (some branding names vary between USA and UK). So, this is my journey this year: Needed a colonoscooy as well as Upper GI Endoscopy so appointment

May is Coeliac Awareness Month.
Good morning folks, This month is coeliac awareness month in many countries so here's a link to G.I.G. the Gluten Intolerant group of N America with some interesting links. It's also interesting to see how other countries see a gluten free diet especially as we have varying standards across the world

There is more than one way to eat healthy
...but low carb is one of them
The oldest person in Europe, who tested positive for coronavirus but showed no symptoms, celebrated her 117 birthday with a omelette norvƩgienne (baked Alaska). My namesake aunt lived 99 good years, living independently until the end, and losing none of her faculties

Occasional sin - carbs
I have been really good on a very low carb no sugar regime. Does anyone else have a day/meal that involves lots of carbs. Tempted to occasionally have fish and chips or a very carb orientated pizza!

Gallstones
Hi my husband has liver cirrhosis and now gallstones, he is in agony most of the time but they won't remove the gallbladder, he's at the end of his tether and now drinking more because with the codeine it's the only thing that slightly dulls the pain. It's a huge strain on out relationship. Just after

Conflicting diet plans
I am wondering if anyone can give me some dietary advice. I am type 2 diabetic, so need to avoid sugars. I have had heart attack, stents and bypass surgery, and was advised to follow a low carb, high protein diet. But now I have developed a gall bladder problem and am told I need to go on a low fat diet

Diet....
Hi. I know this will sound odd, but here goes. Iāve just had a couple of stents fitted and been diagnosed with unstable Angina. I have no problem changing my diet to low salt, low sugar, wholemeal/wholegrain, no red meat or processed food and getting plenty of exercise. What I stupidly donāt know is
