How do we assemble our cumulative CKD knowledge so that it's a) digestible and b) easily accessible to all?
An impossible task (especially with the HealthUnlocked format) but it seems there's great knowledge out here amongst us .. but no way to assemble it in an easily accessible place. We seem doomed to repeating ourselves and having useful information 'slip down the page' and out of view. How on earth

Good news, it can be reversed.
Good news . I have reversed my F2 to F0 in two years through low carb diet and exercise. Loose weight, clean diet and exercise really work. Be optimistic.

Non STEMI
I am new here, I had a non STEMI 2 months ago and was prescribed the most common medications, I.e. Ticegralor, Bisoprolol, Artovastatin and Aspirin. I was fortunate that the angiogram and subsequent ultrasound indicated there was no apparent damage to the heart muscle and I have recovered fully. No

Manuka honey and Pancreatitis šÆ š
Hi everyone, apparently honey is good for the pancreas as honey has many healing qualities and this is especially so with Manuka honey as Manuka honey contains Methylglyoxal which's a very powerful antibacterial agent and is what makes Manuka honey special as all honeys have antibacterial qualities

Deranged bloods, no fatty liver no fibrosis
A little further down my road of tests, in summary I have no symptoms but it all started with a cholesterol test of 8.9, gp said it could be liver related as itās too high to be diet. Had liver bloods and ALT was high at 150. Repeat test and ALT was 350.Refer to liver specialist, just had ultrasound

Is this Terryās nails ??? Please help.
Iāve stumbled across Terryās nails and now I canāt stop worrying. I had tested positive for covid 7th October 2021 and was feeling a little unwell, I would say symptoms were mild - I had blood tests done after and all came back fine apart from slightly raised enzymes in my liver function test. Doctors

Celiac or not
Hi folks, wonder if anyone can explain my concerns. I was diagnosed with celiac in 2020 through a blood test, the endoscopy showed normal upper tract. I had another blood test in August this year, when I was the nurse for my b12 injection I asked her about the results, and she kindly printed them off

Hi there! What are the treatments for IBS C? Has anyone found anything that works? I have had issues ever since I had my appendix removed and had anorexia. When trying to eat again and better I developed a problem where I just can't go properly anymore. I almost never get an urge to go unless I "stimulate

Looking for UK endocrinologist
Hello, I've recently been found to have antibodies for Coeliac disease after an over 5 year search for a diagnosis for my brain fog, joint pain, hair loss etc. While hopeful that continuing a gluten free diet will bring me relief, a lot of my symptoms resemble hypothyroidism, which is common in people

Discussion: Vascular Calcification / bone disorder in CKD
Mortality in CKD is dominated by the cardiovascular domain. We will more likely die of a cardio related issue than anything else. We are the highest risk group of all groups for cardio related death. Is sugar bad?
Iāve been trying to follow a gluten free diet to see if it helps my Hashimotoās symptoms. Last night I ate something with a high sugar content and woke up feeling awfulš puffy, red eyes, terrible brain fog, exhaustion. Now Iām wondering if sugar could be the culprit. Anyone else experienced this?
