sudden high blood pressure and breathlessness
so my BP (usually 120/75 ish) suddenly shot up to 204/110 and despite various medications it’s currently hovering at 160/95. I was swimming a mile 4 times a week and now I can’t walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. I’ve had a 10second ECG which my dr said is fine and I was

Bradycardia
Hello everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I’m in my late 20’s and have recently been told that on a recent 7 day ECG it was picked up that I had Mobitz 2 AV block. This came as quite a surprise to me (and my cardiologist, due to my age presumably!) For this reason and my on-going symptoms it was

Cardioversion for Flutter now
Hi all, I went to Cardiologist today who put me on ECG and said my AF has gone... the Flecainide worked but I did a running session before I took it to see if I could shock it back into Sinus maybe the combo of both worked. However she detected Flutter, which is new to me and possibly caused by the Flecainide

newbie diagnosed with ectopic beats, but also paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
Had slow heart beat for 5 days with slight flutterings. Thought it was my Afib starting again. Had ecg at drs yesterday and was told it was ectopic beats. I’m not taking any medication , was on 2.5mg Bisoprolol as pill in pocket, but advised to stop it. It’s horrible, I have them all day,not sure why

Ectopic Beats and Afib recurrence
Hi All, I am now more than 6 months out of the ablation and the 3 months follow up was okay. I am on bisoprolol. Lately, I started feeling many ectopics and as of last 3-4 days they seem to be with me all the time. Two weeks ago, I went to an ER following a sleepless night of anxiety (ECG no Afib and

The monster has struck!
Good news this morning -I was told that I might be discharged tomorrow. All my monitors were removed in the morning including the temporary pacemaker and ECG. I went for a couple of walks on the ward which went quite well. I checked my pulse rate manually afterwards and all was steady at about 70bpm

pramipexole (containing Dopamine), can it contribute to heart regurgitation?
I recently had an echocardiogram after chest x-ray for breathlessness and it was thought to show an enlarged heart , but later found it wasn’t, hence the ecg. It has shown that I have some regurgitation which GP said nothing to worry about but I have read that Dopamine can be a cause of this. Can anyone

I had a heart attack 18 months ago had 2 stents fitted since then I’ve run or walked 5k every night after work, I’ve basically lived on fruit fish and vegetables and felt fitter than I ever have in my life. But the problem is the last six weeks I’ve been feeling very lightheaded as though I’m going

Sigh, GP knowledge...
A rant I suppose but any suggestions that might help... I also have SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth) where bacteria from large bowel get in to Small and expand on the food being digested (robing You of the nutrients) then creating painful, smelly gas. There are three forms, mine is hardest

Not great news today
The end of October I had a cardioversion that failed in less than a month. I met with my cardiologist two weeks ago and he confirmed what I thought that it failed. Actually I have atypical flutter it’s not my a fib as such. He wanted me to meet with the EP he works with so today was the day to do that

chest aches and fibromyalgia.
hi I am sorry to rant about this but I was wondering if any of you gets chest ache in the middle of where the ribs are. I have had ecg investigation and things, the doctor said it was nothing bad no skipped beats etc. I wondered if it was part of fibromyalgia or costicondritis or something. On the plus

ECG results
ECG results showed: Bradycardia sinus rhythm. Any thoughts on what that is? I just want to be somewhat prepared when I have Cardiologists appointment tomorrow. Googling it just brings up so many different results.

24hr ECG confusion ?
Hello – I hope this isn’t a daft question – I have been undergoing a number of tests over a recent period (Echocardiogram, Cardiac angiogram, 24hr ECG, resting ECG, and ETT). Whilst I’m still waiting for report from the ETT (I did manage 10 min) the latest 24hr ECG threw up a whole raft of issues which
