24hr ECG confusion ?

Hello – I hope this isn’t a daft question – I have been undergoing a number of tests over a recent period (Echocardiogram, Cardiac angiogram, 24hr ECG, resting ECG, and ETT). Whilst I’m still waiting for report from the ETT (I did manage 10 min) the latest 24hr ECG threw up a whole raft of issues which had not been identified 18months previously.

The 24hr ECG, resting ECG, and ETT took place within a 4 day period – whilst part way through the 24hr test (hospital) I was also wired up for the resting ECG at GP surgery, so some of the resting leads were immediately next to the 24hr leads. My naive question is could one set of leads interfere with the other giving some odd (for me) results??

I accept that I have some heart issues which require medication and will discuss further with GP once ETT results are through.

Thanks for your time

thanks Thatwasunexpected.

I really liked your microphone/speaker explanation!

I have been what you might call "medicine averse" for the last 60-odd years, however now realise that the time has come to accept that I perhaps need to listen to my body more, take the docs advice , accept I'm not Superwoman, and agree to take some meds etc (whilst continuing to spin plates, juggle soot, knit fog, riding a unicycle....)!
