where I’m at and what docs suggest
hello all I have occasional episodes of AFib up to 5 days a couple of times a year but have been having more shorter episodes for a few seconds or minutes at times, very occasionally at night when sleeping on my stomach. So a change. I take apixaban. My life is normal other than tiredness probably

Journey of Confusion

heart and asthma
I have chronic asthma. Over last year or so I’ve become increasingly breathless. my chest is heavy and tight and I struggle to breathe on any exertion. Even getting dressed and bathing is a big problem, on the last few months I’ve got chest pain if I don’t stop to reset when getting so breathless. I

Lost faith in the medical profession. Bacterial meningitis.
Hi, I started feeling ill on 12th February 2023 with high fever, uncontrollable shivering, projectile vomiting and diarrhoea. Thought I had food poisoning, then the headache hit me which I put down to dehydration from the sickness. After 3 days I felt I was getting worse and made contact with GP practice

Bisoprolol withdrawl after only 3 weeks
I have been taking Bisoprolol 1.25mg for 2 weeks, I stopped after 2 weeks and felt fine for 3 days and then I woke up around 2:20am with a HR of 125bpm. This continued for 3 more hours and eventually subsided. I decided to bite a tablet in half and take that and things seemed to settle for a bit but

update re full blood tests and 24hr Holter fitted at my GP surgery
My GP should have telephoned me on Friday to discuss both issues, call never happened. I have spoken to Receptionist today who checked my notes and said bloods no further action. I have asked for a printout of my results for my file. As far as the ECG was concerned the Receptionist said she didn’t

Diagnosis Referral
Hi, I’m hoping someone can relate. About 10 years ago I started with pain in my joints and muscles and had a very bad episode of pleurisy. Since then I’ve been back and forth to doctors with pain often being sent to A&E because the pain is in my chest. Every visit is the same. X-ray, ECG and bloods

TIMING OF 55 MG OF PRED...OR SOMETHING ELSE?
I'm currently on 55 mg. of Pred for what was suspected GCA, but Ophtamology and Rheumy say negative, and having a really difficult time with it. Shakiness, extreme fatigue, exhaustion and weakness. Coordination is off in hands with the shaking, to wear I thought I might actually have Parkinsons or worse
