hi I am very worried and need some input. I had an ECG today which showed inverted t waves widespread but non-specific but also bradychardia at 48bpm. I also had an ECG last November which showed the inverted t waves but no bradychardia that time. I am 35 years old and otherwise healthy. I am really worried can anyone provide me with some advice or further info or anything? Thankyou

ECG showed inverted t waves and Bradychardia
I have had inverted T waves for many years but my EP says not to worry as it is normal for some people.At the moment mine are flat to slightly inverted for some reason. I've tried to increase my potassium levels as this can be the cause but cannot see a difference yet.
Hello and welcome to the forum!
I cannot comment on T waves as I am not up to speed on interpreting ECGs. However, I will comment on Bradycardia. In simplest terms all it means is that your resting heart rate is below 60bpm. Mine is in the mid-fifties and when I was younger in the mid-forties. In addition the fitter someone is the lower the resting heart rate. Miguel Indurain, who won the Tour de France five times, had a resting rate of 28bpm in those years. The time to worry is when it is so low that not enough oxygen is provided to the brain and other organs. This will manifest itself as dizziness and fainting. Do you have any symptoms?
Hi
I had inverted t waves on the kardia device followed by an ECG by my cardiologist
I had an angiogram which showed 2 blockages and was given stents so I'm not quite sure why you haven't had an angiogram as well
Was one mentioned?
You should find this post about the Inverted T Wave of interest;
do a CT scan
I have had inverted T waves on ECG's and have Bradycardia, my heart rate has been as low as 34bpm and I can assure you I am not a super fit athlete 😉 Do you have other symptoms, dizzyness etc?
I too had inverted T waves years ago they couldn’t find what was causing it. I have bradycardia 15 years later with an ejection fraction oddments 35% and just rushed into hospital with myocardia and pericardia so have got to rest as much as possible. I also have very low blood pressure. Keep pushing for tests MRI is the best one as well as echocardiogram. My Angiogram showed normal unblocked arteries it is solely what is happening with my heart. My valves are ok too. I think I’ve had peri and myocarditis before as they can weaken the heart so look up symptoms and be aware if you think you have it see your doctor. We are all different and have different causes but this was my history and would like to just say keep asking questions and get tested even repeat testing as sometimes the test show normal first ho round. Good luck with everything.
Low resting heart rate is nothing to worry about as long as the HR increases when you start moving about. My HR sometimes falls to 48bpm when I'm sat at my desk and feeling bit sleepy. Doesn't bother me because as soon as I become more alert or standing up and start moving about it climbs up again 65-70-80 and so on depending on what I'm doing. Its called Heart Rate Variability. The problem occurs when the HR does not increase in response to exercise or physical activity. That means your heart is not able to transport enough oxygen carrying blood to your vital organs and you start feeling breathless, lightheaded etc. Those situations usually require pacemaker implantation. I doubt you are anywhere near that stage.
