An Alternative Christmas Ditty.
Hi all. I hope you are all ok.Katrina has kindly said I can post a Christmas tune, with an AF spin. This should be sung in your best Eartha Kitt purr. Santa baby, slip a cable under the tree, for me To connect my Kardio to Santa baby, so hurry with my Q10 tonight. Think of all the beats I've missed And

ECT? Keen for peoples lived experiences
I’ve been referred for ECT and keen to hear from people who’ve had the treatment or in the process and how it was/is for you. The overall result - good bad or neutral? If there’s any good or bad things you experienced. Any tips? Would you do it again if needed? Any feedback would be gratefully

I have PA, all was going well, but now they're trying to mess with my b12 perscipton!!!
Hi all,I'm a long time lurker, but haven't posted myself in a while. About 8 years ago, I was fighting to save my right leg due to bone tumors. 12 surgeries later, I lost that fight. During that time, I started losing weight, tons of anxiety, palpitations ect...This would all be normal reaction to this

Started new thyroid medication Mon 😡
Sorry everyone but this is going to be a rant.... As many members will know I stopped taking my thyroid medication on January 31st because the incompetent endo put me back on teva, which I certainly don't get on with (gastric side effects amongst other side effects) Through my surgeon in Liverpool for

Week six post ablation
Hello All, First of all I would like to thank the person or people who wrote those sheets about what to expect after an ablation. No professional gave me any comparable helpful information about how I might feel afterwards. Anyway, this is week six and I’m worried that I’m going backwards. This week

incomplete right bundle branch block with paroxysmal AF
I was blue lighted to A&E in the early hours last Saturday with a pain in my right side, chest height that stopped me moving and made breathing nigh impossible. Happened instantly I stood up to pay bathroom a visit, like I’d been stabbed. I felt sure my lung had collapsed or clot, although on blood thinners

Surgery options
Hi everyone, I really need some advice! I have had severe pains everyday for a year along with fatigue, nausea ect. Everything's been ruled out apart from endometriosis which is what all my symptoms and history points at. I booked an appointment with a specalist last year and he gave me meds and told

I went for my first IV chemo today doxorubicin pegylated liposomal. Unfortunately within 20 minutes I had an allergic reaction, tingling in the mouth, swelling and hives. The nurses were great and the doctor came to see me. Had an ECG and medications. One has wiped me out fernargon. The doctor wanted

Home testing machines
I am new to this group and I have family with afib, I have panic and anxiety with rapid heartbeat but was trying to rule out heart issues. I bought a kardiamobile ekg machine and tried it about 10 times and always got unclassified. My husband tried it and he got normal so it didnt appear to be interference

Palpitations
Hi, I am having mild palpitation very frequently, 2-3 times each day for about 30 minutes to an hour. I am worried about them but I have been informed as there are no other symptoms, I will not be offered treatment. I was diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation in Nov 2023 at hospital A&E, I have attended

Fitbit
So my fitbit has the ECG function and the last few days when I felt iffy I was just getting an inconclusive result. Today I managed to catch it as I felt my heart briefly going wild and it says AFib. I have a cardiology appointment soon and plan to tell them but worry they'll just think it's ridiculous

Scarborough Cardiology
Big shout out to the smooth operation of the out patients department at Scarborough hospital. I had an appointment at 9.00am today. By 9.15 I'd had my BP taken, excellent 116 over 66, height and weight measurements done and an ECG carried out. At 9.30 I was sat with the cardiologist for a 15 minute chat

Mini Stroke Post Heart Attack
Hi folks Was just wondering if this has happened to anyone? I’ve had a couple of “funny turns” recently and a particularly bad one on Thursday evening which ironically was exactly one year to the day since my HA. Ended up in A&E all night getting various tests. ECG, bloods x 2 (initial troponin

AF medication
I have had palpitations intermittently for a long time then realised I had AF. As it is Paroxysmal I captured it on a Scan watch and shared the ecg with my GP who confirmed the diagnosis. The GP performed blood tests to look at underlying causes and all normal. The GP has referred me for 24 hour tape

buprenorphine side effects
hello all, so I’ve been on buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film for a couple weeks now. I also recently went back on a low-dose of statins as after being off them for six months as my cholesterol shot up 100 points. I take one quarter of the film at night around 6 o’clock. I sleep all night which

misunderstood peri -menopause treatment
I had a very traumatic experience in my peri menopause. Due to heavy bleeding and clotting in my last 2 years of peri menopause I was hospitalized with an anemia. Given tablets to help stem bleeding and they caused jaundice. Was offered hysteroscopy under NHS however not given the option for sedation

Some bad news…
I had a bypass a year ago and everything seemed to be going fairly well. I noticed a bit of chest pain in May but this seemed to pass over and the consultant wasn’t too concerned. However, two or three weeks ago I noticed some left-sided chest/arm/shoulder pain when cycling and this has got progressively
