Never Ending
I was only diagnosed a week ago, after a weekend of being in AFib, went to the ER. Confirmed. It's been non stop ever since. I am now on Xarelto and Metoprolol 50 x2 a day. NO relief. Most of my ECG readings show heart rate around 130-140. BP mostly ok--a bit high, but not awful. I find myself

Cardiotoxicity in patients treated with acalabrutinib
The latest edition of the journal Blood has two articles that highlight the issue of cardiotoxicity in patients treated with acalabrutinib. The cardiotoxicity of ibrutinib has been well recorded but the situation with the newer BTK inhibitor, acalabrutinib, has been less clear. In the first article

Pressure on center of back as in lying down or sitting against the back of a chair etc.
I have been diagnosed with AF and have a pace maker. Recently i have found it uncomfortable to put pressure on center of back and it brings on palpitations and short breath and an irregular rythm.I have an emay portable ECG . I could send a printout.

vertical heart ?
hi Im 33 and had an ecg 2 weeks ago just as a check up from a result I got back from blucrest which indicated a slightly abnormal qrs shape. Anyway I have had a doctor look over my new one and he’s told me my ecg is good no problems but it looks like I have a vertical heart, however she’s told me there

B12 deficient - just wanted to share
Hi all, I just wanted to share my story as I've had so many thoughts and concerns rattling around my head these past couple of weeks that I don't know if I'm coming or going. I have had occasional heart palpitations since at least late spring, but didn't really think much of it until a month ago when

Hi all , just had my review with the EP . Quite short and sweet , I had sent him the latest EKG from my 6 lead Kardia mobile taken yesterday as requested and he seemed happy. I asked , as I’d not had the chance to before leaving hospital, what he’d found during the procedure. Apparently after my first

Am I imaging things?
Please feel free to say if you think I am imaging a problem that isn't there, I actually think my Doctors think I'm nuts. About 3 years ago I went to see the Dr because I was not my usual self, constantly tired, miserable, losing my hair and brain fog. I was told I was depressed and to take Vitamin

AF rears it’s ugly head again
hi. I’ve been fine for sometime with regards to AF and flutters. However, since being at ED on Sunday with chest pain, nausea, headache and a wheeze I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. Bp was through the roof also (which always is when I’m unwell). I was given a course of steroids and antibiotics.

Can you have thyroiditis with normal lab results?
I started getting a very painful front of neck about 7 weeks ago that was affecting one side but now has spread to the other side. It's not particularly visable but feels swollen to touch. During this time I started with palpitations that seem to get worse during the night and affect my sleep. I have

Trying my best to finish this semester. I don't know if I can.
I have 2 more days of class in my first semester of college in 17 years. I have memory impairments from ECT and a learning disability so it's very very difficult to learn and retain information along with panic disorder. I have 2 more tests and 1 assignment and I want to give up. I know I can't. But

I’m supposed to get my platelets down, according to my MPN specialist, below 400 before my hip surgery on 12/21. So had to take hydrea daily instead of 4x a week. Got first bloods today after upping dose. Platelets at 531 from 572 two weeks ago but MCV and MCH at top of range. 100 and 33. They’ve taken

Curious? Palpitation clinic
So, I've just been to Cardiac physiology to have a 24hr holter monitor fitted. Even the physiologist agreed with me that it probably wont catch anything as my symptoms can be random. He advised I ask my GP to refer me to Palpitation clinic. To be honest ive never heard of it but, if I do get a referral
