First angina attack post heart attack bloody frightening

Had an angina attack about 5:45pm today. It was really painful and just came on ehilst i was sat installing some sofware on my laptop. It eventuallybwent away after 2 lots of GTN but left me feeling rather weak, shaky and scared.

I ended up in hoapital yesterday as i was getting random pains in my chest but all their tests, xray, ecg and bloods showed negative.

As these attacks seem to happen when at rest i suspect i may have spasmodic angina of the arteries.

How much rest should i be getting a day also? Should i spend some time in bed 8n the afternoon? Its 2 weeks post HA and stent fitted. I felt i was getting better up until Boxing day and now i feel im back at square one again.

I am sorry to hear about your experience.

"As these attacks seem to happen when at rest i suspect i may have spasmodic angina of the arteries."

I live with vasospastic angina, my coronary arteries go into transient constrictions causing angina. Mental, emotional and physical stress are some of the triggers for my coronary vasospasms. I experience chest pain mainly at rest especially during the night.

However chest pain at rest especially if it's not relieved by GTN spray is also a sign of unstable angina and should not be ignored.

I suggest you give 111 a call for further advice.
