So my rollercoaster life seems to be heading the right way and I’m feeling quite positive.
Diagnosed with persistent AF in September 2018. Pure misery and constant fear until Jan 17th this year when I had a cardioversion. Went back to NSR.
On March 17th I had major stomach surgery. My hear behaved and I stayed in NSR.
Went back to work again last week. I have also returned to the gym .... light to moderate treadmill and heart monitoring with my calculations!
I feel like I have my life back.... it is different of course, no alcohol, no caffeine and a very different diet but my head has returned to something like I had before last September...
I am still taking the drugs but have an echocardiogram in June and Cardiologist appt in July .... maybe I can stop then. I’m not bothered as I’m ok with the drugs.
Learning about AF was key in my journey and this group know a LOT!
Anyway I don’t want to crow about how good like is etc when I know a lot of you have it bad but I would say that I feel quite positive now about my future.
I certainly did not feel like that last September. 👍❤️👍
That’s me and my friend going to see Mike and The Mechanics just 2 weeks after my operation last month!
Wonderful news Black Crow! Having a positive state of mind is so good on this long and sometimes difficult road to recovery. Happy Easter and as Dave Alan used to say "may Your God go with you"
Well done you, you came through! I remember some of your early posts and it is so good to read this your lates. It is SO important for people to know that and to know you can also be an agent in your own treatment.
Well done , so pleased for you . I have just been diagnosed with four short runs of AF on a 7 day monitor , I am petrified and not sure where I’m going from here. I was prescribed Riverobaxin and started it four days ago , I have had an upset stomach and a headache since this morning, i am now worried in case it’s going to cause a bleed . Torvi
