Hi, 1) My Ventricular ejection fraction was 65% in Nov 21’ at my latest
echocardiogram
last month (14months later) was 56%. I appreciate are both within the normal range - is the 9% drop a trend to be wary of it is normal for this figure to vary with no cause for concern?

Mild aortic stenosis
I was recently diagnosed following an
echocardiogram
. I will have a follow up echo in 3 years. The only medication I have is ramipril 2.5mg. I discovered my blood pressure was as high as it is now 5 years ago but the nurse only said it was a bit high and it wasn't pursued.

what’s normal?
that I was being discharged from their care and that if I had any further issues to contact my GP. ( At the time I was awaiting an appointment for a CT angiogram which I later had in August - it showed 40% stenosis) I have never received any offer of cardiac rehab, counselling or even a follow up

Anxiety and pain after heart attack and stents
All my hopes were laying on my stress
echocardiogram
test. This would be the first time a professional looked inside at my hearts function after exercise and see the blood flow. I was anxious but I passed. So much relief !!!!!!!

Afib or Dysautonomia
Two months prior to the diagnosis I had an
Echocardiogram
that showed no problems. Could this actually be Dysautonomia and not Afib or does Dysautonomia cause Afib?

I saw my cardiologist yesterday as I’m having a new knee next week and for my own peace of mind had an
echocardiogram
which shows my heart is now as it was before AF and high blood pressure were found 3 years ago.

Its not who you are but who you know.
When I had my chat with my consultant last month he said he would arrange an
echocardiogram
at my local hospital. He duly wrote to them and I recieved a copy of their reply saying they had arranged an appointment.

Single event AF & heart block
Had
echocardiogram
, all normal. Had a mobile Holter monitor for 7 days , no abnormalities shown. Am now waiting for an implantable monitor which will hopefully reveal a cause, no date yet given. Would be interested to hear if anyone had a similar experience?

Heart Attack Journal #2
An
echocardiogram
was done which showed an ejection factor of 40%. Normal is above 50% although I think I was down to 40% after my first MI so it’s possible that this second event hadn’t done much more damage.

HAS ANYONE PARTICIPATED IN CLINICAL TRIALS
There’s a lot of blood sampling sometimes after 1 hour then after another hour and also a lot of scans,
echocardiogram
and other tests. Although it will be just for 28 days, I’m not sure I’ll survive 28 days of torture.

7 Day Monitor coming up. Any questions I should be asking?
The
echocardiogram
showed my heart to be in otherwise good form. So I'm just wondering if there's anything I should be asking to get the most out of the appointment. We often think of these things afterwards. Thank you!

First post. LVT recovery and exercise
I have a stress
echocardiogram
in a couple of weeks to see how the heart and clot are progressing. I just wondered if there were others out there in heart land that have had a similar experience and how the recovery from an attack, stent, LVT has gone and are you back exercising? Cheers all

results from echocardiogram got me worried
I’ve recently had another
echocardiogram
and it has came back that my right side chambers ain’t working as they should for my age, also a very tiny hole between upper and lower chamber and that the aorta is slightly enlarged.

at last saw a cardiologist today and after some consultation and noting the results of the
echocardiogram
and cat scan, she explained that the aortic stenosis is moderate to severe and wants to clarify it more clearly, also have an aneurysm measuring 4.8, usually operated on at 5.5.

Has anyone had cardiac catheterization or heart surgery with GCA or PMR?
Hi everyone, in my last post I told you I was about to have an
echocardiogram
where they put a camera down your throat to get better pictures of the heart. That went fine except for very sore throat for about a week.
