BROMPTON update.
First off, many thanks to all my friends who wished me good luck and showed so much concern,it really humbles me to have such great people around, you are all fantastic, thankyou.Last night had the best sleep I,ve had for about 12 months,so the oramorph is helping in that sense for sure.I also found it

Oramorph?
My consultant suggests I try this to help with breathlessness.I,ve had a lot of opiates over the years for various reasons, always thought they were constrictive. Some older post seem to say it,s none addictive,I find that very hard to believe.Any recent views?D.

Was in hospital last week to get my medication changed. Also I have another Wheelchair Assessment & PIP Application Form!
Hi everyone, I have finally managed to get my pain under control, as I managed to get an appointment with my Kidney Specialist. When I saw him I explained the issues I was having & also the problems I was having with him GP. So last week I was admitted to Sunderland Royal Hospital, on ward B28, though

Hi everyone, I have been reading one of the postings about the Morphine pump that you have at the minute. I have been on MST 60 mg tabs and on Oramorph now for quite a few years, I have very bad adhesions in my abdomen and for 14yrs I was told to learn to live with the pain I have. Surgeon after surgeon

Newbie and needing a chat <3
Hi there, hope this is finding you all as well as possible <3 I have had serious issues with my periods since I started having them at the age of 10. Incredibly heavy bleeding (vaginal and from the back passage. Something I always put down to my Von Willerbrands a blood clotting disorder) where I would

Frustrated!
So frustrated I have had severe ibs now for two years and am constantly off sick from work! I have had ibs for 14 years but it has gone out of control. I'm on injections for sickness, oramorph and Tapentadol for pain and can't eat and have lost 2 stone in weight and constantly run down with cold sores

When returning endo isn't actually endo: results of my 2nd lap, help for those in similar situations and advice on treament/clinics :)
Hey ladies, I'm finally a bit more with it after my lap so I'm back to posting. I know a lot of you have asked me how it went as you're in a similar situation, so I thought it would just be easier to write a post on my results and any advice I think may be helpful (I just want to say that I'm not medically

Sleep deprivation!
Morning everyone. Just wondering how other loved ones with PSP sleep during the night... I care for my mum and the sleep issue is the one I really struggle with. Mum has been up 6/7 times during the night on and off for the last few days/weeks. We realised she had a UTI last week so she had a course

Has anyone used Fentanyl (or any nasal spray/lozenges for pain relief)?
I am currently taking Oramorph (20mgx3 each day) but it doesn't work fast enough at all. I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow-my consultants have all given up on me and told me just to get on with it and think I'm lucky I am not dying of cancer! I have come across Fentanyl which is also an opioid

Pain, pain and more pain and I have had enough!
Hi, I don't know if anyone else is suffering with the colder weather coming in. I have had to increase my MST by 10 mg twice aday to 50mg of MST twice aday.. This was increased just over a week ago and was doing a bit better. Then I didn't really feel very well on Saturday but just put it down to, Christmas

Tulip - thank you, + advice re. pain relief dependence
I did rest well in the 12 days relief. I'm beginning to worry about dependence on opiod-based pain relief. I don't want to face it really, but i'm using fentanyl patches, codeine, oramorph, not because it relieves the pain, relief comes from knocking me out. It scares me. I am addicted now. I know
