Alive regarding pain relief please
Hi just looking for a bit of advice for analgesia. I've got NAFLD cirossis stage 4. I am suffering at the moment with a flare up of diverticulitis and need to take analgesia. I know NSAID's are a no no , but codeine is that ok ? I've looked around for info but not really found an answer.

Viral meningitis
I have had VM, unfortunately the virus was not a usual strain so I did not respond to any IV treatments they usually give to VM patients. I had to fight it myself with a temp of 40.2. How long will the headaches last? Been in hospital 3 weeks only recently discharged and scared for the future .Any advice

Nutritionists?
My GFR is 38. I asked primary care doc for referral. He refused. He told me I only need avoid NSAIDS and salt. What do you think? I disagree. I do not think Medicare will pay for this when GFR is 50 or below if it was something that was not useful

Does shingles cause Hashimoto’s to flare up?
I have had Hashimoto’s now for about 3 years and I’m still finding it hard navigating my way through the symptoms and flare ups. I have suffered from very bad crippling anxiety over the last year and half which hasn’t helped with the lockdown and dealing a 4 year old and 1.5 year old while attempting

Back pain and surprises
Hey y’all!!! Now that I’ve recouped from family matters, I have yet another surprise. Been having low back pain for about 3 yrs. Managed with PT and NSAIDs for almost 2 years. Beginning of this year, pain just wouldn’t let up so I asked for meloxicam. Meloxicam worked amazingly well but was nixed after

Stress triggering meningitis
What are your thoughts on stress being a trigger for a viral infection and triggering viral meningitis and M.E? Do you think stress plays a contributing factor?

Cold Sores and Rituximab
Hi Everyone Great news about the very positive effect the vaccines are having on Covid cases - onwards and upwards. Does anyone have any ideas why I have had 4 cold sores in 4 or 5 weeks? They started before my Covid vaccine so it isn't that. I had my last round of Rituximab in November 2020 after

Chronic Shingles & Hashi/Hypo
Anyone else get Shingles everytime their TSH rises due to Hashi’s & it’s time for an increase in Levo.mg’s? This has been my pattern for a year now. First round was face/neck second was armpits. Both times bilateral. Shingles vaccine has not been an option for me because I can’t go long enough in between

Gastric bypass
Hi, I’m new, is there anyone here who has had a gastric bypass and suffer from migraines? I did great with a few excedrine when I was younger, it would either get rid of it or take the edge off. Now my migraines are mor symptomatic and I’ve had my gastric bypass so NSAIDS are a big no. The tryptans

A little insight would be wonderful. I’m new here!
I am 47 years old and was never formally diagnosed with ADHD. My brother was as a child and I always thought I was also. When I was 28 I entered nursing school and for the first time I couldn’t half-ass my way through school, I had to really study. I found it difficult to concentrate and take in all

Covid Vaccine Experience! Sometimes you've just got to put your big girl pants on and be brave xx
Hi everyone! I've noticed recently that there are a lot of posts on here asking about people's experiences with the covid vaccine. It's clear to me that a lot of us Autoimmune Warriors are concerned and scared about getting the vaccine (rightly so! I'm not too proud to admit I also shared the same fears

Back Issues
This may seem like a topic unrelated to AF. It is my experience that nerve issues in the back could be a factor. Unfortunately, heart doctors do not explore this possibility even though the cause of AF has still not been determined. The comment on NSAID's is probably worth considering. They may inhibit

Misdiagnosed with PMR??
So it appears that I may have been misdiagnosed. I started prednisone nearly two years ago when I was finally diagnosed with PMR after running around to different medical practioneers for a year. However, my rheumatologist was never really convinced it was PMR because prednisone never really helped
