Confusion over Mayo Clinic report
I am now looking at probably going off gabapentin as it is likely the cause of nervousness that I was also experiencing on pregabalin. Reading the report, it seems the next recommendation is the nonergot dopamine agonists, or the drugs that cause augmentation. Sue Johnson, etc. seem to disagree about

Mum newly diagnosed with MSA-P and we are all struggling
Hello everyone I hope you don’t mind me starting a post, I’ve never really used a forum before so I am very unsure if this is the correct place to post. My Mum (69) developed a twitch in her finger many years ago which went away. She was a very slow walker but apart from that we didn’t think anything

Toxicological Effects of Berberine and Sanguinarine 2018
I have a lot of faith in Berberine, but somebody (you know who you are [Thanks!]) shared this article with me. It is interesting: Toxicological Effects of Berberine and Sanguinarine

blood test back - any thoughts?
So now I am off all my meds, and started taking 200mg iron a night a month ago, my ferritin level just came back as 80, which I was quite surprised. The last one in 2020 was over 120. Should I double the dose and split it through the day or take 2 tabs before bed? Also my white blood count came back

Extreme headache and always feeling feverish. I don't think I can get my exam feeling like that
And health system here sucks. I feel like im having a stroke. Insane headache and dizzyness, tight veins, veins spasm. Too much living in survival mode but what can i do - can't go to dad's, mom's scaring me with her drinking saying that if she wasn't drinking she would do something worse, my accommodation

Can damaged/irritated nerves cause RLS?
I've had RLS for a few years now. I've also had to have RFAs in a couple of places around L5 and my sacroiliac joint because of really bad pain from inflamed nerves. The RLS started well before I had the RFAs, but after I started having the pain. The doctors I've asked say RLS isn't caused by that (inflamed

Augmentation
I am sure this is addressed somewhere but I am too tired to look for it. In my years with PLMD, I have taken almost everything, but not dopamine agonists. Is it correct that if you start and have success at a low dose -- and never increase it -- that you could avoid augmentation?

I asked Chat GPT "Which foods contain or promote dopamine"?
There are several foods that contain or promote dopamine production in the body. Here are some examples: Tyrosine-Rich Foods: Dopamine is derived from the amino acid tyrosine. Foods high in tyrosine include: Almonds, walnuts, and other nuts Avocados Bananas Eggs Lean meats (chicken, turkey, beef

B1 and Vibrating gloves combination
Has anyone had any experience so far with taking B1 HDT together with the vibrating gloves? Are they compatible or would one need to take less B1 when using the gloves? My WWP has been using the PD Buzzboard gloves for 5 weeks and has been taking 1000mg B1 HCL for several weeks but is finding it difficult

Stopped taking mood supplement, SAM-e...is that WHY I'm struggling?🤔🧐🤨
I've been taking 400 mg of SAM-e once a day for several years as a natural mood stabilizer. Like St John's Wort, it is a natural antidepressant option, too. Included a description of what sam-e is below 👇... I stopped taking it at the beginning of May when I started microdosing Psilocybin mushrooms,

Will b12 injection interfere with chorea/movement disorder?
I'm thinking of have the b12 injection as my fatigue levels are crippling me. I'm not deficient but on the lower end of the numbers. So I thought this may make a little difference. Only thing that's concern me is I have this seizure, movement disorder going on. I know movement disorders are triggered

Hi, I am trying to come off the dopamine agonist that I have been taking for the past eight years for my RLS, does anybody know if the augmentation I have built up will go when I am clear of the medication, or am I stuck with it for the rest of my life?

My husbands latest poem, called ‘ French Dressing’
It’s out of my range to do a quick change In moments of passion it’s becoming the fashion, to remain fully dressed, haven’t you guessed? I made up that line to make me feel fine. When it’s time for a shower I need a full hour. The soap is alive, it’s doing the jive. With a dopamine pill, it may

Sleepy kidney
Hi all, Am hoping someone can reasure or give me some advice. I received a transplant on the 11th April 2023 and its been a rough ride so far. I spent a week in ITU and was hooked up to dopamine for 3 weeks to help my blood pressure. My urine out has been slow, for a few days I got between 600-800ml

Stress and RLS
I'm just wondering since RLS is caused by a lack of dopamine in the brain, does stress and anxiety also have the same effect on dopamine and can therefore cause or worsen RLS?

Rytary
1 -25/100 and 145 mg Rytary helps with off time when I run out of dopamine, I have to sit down and wait for pills to kick in, but the Rytary helps with that now, but I’m very stiff and achy in leg and arm since on Rytary, anyone else experiencing stiffness with Rytary? I wish these meds didn’t have
