Micro discectomy on L5,S1 disc! SCARED!!
In two weeks I’m supposed to have this done.... I’m petrified incase something goes wrong during or post surgery or incase it makes the pain I experience worse? I have a very supportive hubby and 3yr old son and 7year old daughter with special needs. Has anyone had this done and what was your experience

It looks like i am heading towards a
discectomy
, im ok with it as the facet joint and nerve root injections have not worked and the pain is getting worse again . My problem is i was due to have rituximab infusion on the 18th of February but ive found out it is delayed until 27th of April.

Relief from sciatica?
I had a large disc protrusion at L4/5 so had a
discectomy
and five days later had another as the disc slipped again. It was also noted at the time that I had a mild disc protrusion at L5/S1.

Have I or haven't I?
I originally injured my back in an accident at work which meant I needed a
Discectomy
after the op I was in a lot more pain than before and haven't been able to work since. I'm not sure if this is connected or not but the restless legs didn't start straight away.

Cervical spondylotic myelopathy can surgery on your neck work miracles for your headache
Each patient was then given an operation using one of three surgical techniques: anterior cervical
discectomy
and fusion (ACDF), total disc replacement (TDR), or laminoplasty. The patients were then re-assessed at 25 and 145 months after their operation.

What happens after a failed trial spinal cord stimulator?
I had a
discectomy
2 years ago which although successful in an anatomical sense resulted in failed back surgery. I attended an 8-day course at St Thomas's on neuromodulation. A month after that I underwent a trial for a spinal cord stimulator.

I've had 3 Back Operations
Hi. I've had spine surgery. It certainly isn't something to rush into. But without it I'd still be stuck indoors. I had a slipped disc while pregnant. After a battle with physio acupuncture and lots of meds. They did a diskectomy. Twice! Finally years later an Allograft, taking bone from hip and jamming

Myelopathy Matters
I ended up having a C6/C7 Anterior Cervical
Discectomy
with Fusion/Fixation (ACDF) 1 year and 4 months after initially presenting at my GP's surgery. But because of delays, the damage had been done. Permanent, irreversible spinal cord injury.

Should I have Micro discectomy? Can anyone help me?
Hi I am due to have a Lumbar Micro
discectomy
next week. Mri 2 months ago showed a broad based disc bulge with a protruded right and left paracentral component, the protrusion at the L4/5 level is causing compression of the transiting right L5 nerve root.
