Thank you everyone...
I joined the forum in March 2017 when my husband was diagnosed out of the blue with
Dilated
Cardiomyopathy
and he’s since had an Aortic Valve Replacement. He’s been offered an ICD but is waiting to see if his condition improves when he finally gets his early ill health retirement through.

Takotsubo VS dilated cardiomyopathy. Which one does he have?
Following a week in hospital, angiograms, MRI, cardiac echo, bloods, he was told he has
dilated
cardiomyopathy
and will need an ICD. It was a lot of information to take in, we got our heads round it, to then be told it's not that, it's Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (broken heart syndrome).

LIver problems and blood pressure reduction medication.
I have a non alcoholic fatty liver which has recently registered an average of 53kpa following a recent fibrescan. I have been taking 5mg of Ramapril for high blood pressure over a number of years. My question is: Is there any evidence that blood pressure reducing drugs, such as Ramapril, have any effect

Anxious about everything.
I haven't posted anything for a while but this week has thrown up a lot of feelings I've been pushing down. I have been offered/put forward to trial the new liver cleaning machine (OrganOx metra). They take a liver that would normally be discarded, clean it until it can be transplanted into a person who
