I joined the forum in March 2017 when my husband was diagnosed out of the blue with Dilated Cardiomyopathy and he’s since had an Aortic Valve Replacement. He’s been offered an ICD but is waiting to see if his condition improves when he finally gets his early ill health retirement through. I found all the posts on these topics immensely helpful and just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributes. It really makes a difference. It’s taken me a while to get to a place where I feel ready and able to talk about what we’ve been/are going through but I’m replying to posts now and hope I can offer others a bit of support too. Best wishes everyone. X
