Issues with Entresto
I have
dilated
cardiomyopathy
but also associated with it, AF and heart failure. I have just been started on Entresto as an alternative to Ramipiril (which I had been on stably for 6 months).

Years rolled on and since turning 30 myself I've been diagnosed with heart failure, a
dilated
cardiomyopathy
and left ventricular systolic dysfunction. It's been a lonely time in my life. Does anyone have any advice on how I can cope??

Benefits
Hi All, I was diagnosed with non ischemic
dilated
cardiomyopathy
in October. My ejection fraction was <20. They believe my condition has been caused by chemo and radiotherapy I had in the past. I am a teacher and have not returned to work.

Left Ventricular Non Compaction and dilated cardiomyopathy
Could the LVNC be from
dilated
cardiomyopathy
or is it a separate defect altogether? Could my intermittent (mild) pains in heart area be caused by it as well as heart palpitations?

Heart Failure
The letter said he has now been diagnosed with
Dilated
Cardiomyopathy
and he would get an urgent cardiologist appointment, an MRI, a holter and be started immediately onto heart failure drugs. We were all shell shocked.

I’ve recently been told I have Left Ventricle Non Compaction and I also have the
dilated
cardiomyopathy
gene but no symptoms of that yet. My EF is 52 and consultant not too concerned for now.

Odd feeling in chest
I have
Dilated
Cardiomyopathy
. Only symptom was prolonged palpitations. Had them all my life. I’m now 55. I had an ablation November 2023, so far that has helped massively with the palpitations. I get daily ectopics but they don’t affect me at all. They last seconds.

Hi, I’m new here and hoping for some advice .My partner who is 50 has just been diagnosed with hf which apparently has been going on for a few years but without symptoms so has come as a complete shock. The doctors are currently trying him on meds and I am wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible

Night & Early Morning Chest Pain
Good morning 🙂 I have non ischaemic
dilated
cardiomyopathy
affecting both ventricles, which has led onto me having heart failure. I regularly have what I would call heart pain or chest discomfort. Usually, as the title says, at night or early morning, whilst in bed. Sometimes in the evening.

Supporting young children and heart issues
My eldest has a very small PDA (patent ductus arteriosus) and a z number of 2.8 and so at the moment the consultant doesn’t want to diagnose him with DCM (
dilated
cardiomyopathy
) and is happy to monitor for now.

How long will heart medication work for...
My husband who is fifty was diagnosed with
dilated
cardiomyopathy
due to previous cancer treatment (more than likely). It's been an awful time as the nurse told us to focus on quality of life.
