Meals for one, quick ideas please.
My other half is going to be away and I have a a couple of busy weeks -he normally cooks our evening meal. I have some things in the freezer and a few favourites I cook ’for one’ but would love some of your favourite quickish meal ideas. I eat salad for lunch every day and aim to be low carb but I eat

Newly diagnosed stage 4 prostate cancer, age 77, PSA in low 20 range. PSMA (type of PET scan) revealed metastasis to 7 bone sites, with intermittent hip pain alleviated with Tylenol. Occasionally short of breath because, I think, below normal hemoglobin, platelet and iron levels consistent with bone

Low carb diets
On top of everything else I'm now pre-diabetic. I wasn't prior to starting the steroids but as I'm now on 2 mg of Prednisolone a day and have been on 5 mg or less for over a year I suspect that Prednisolone is not the culprit. I've been looking at a diabetic website and it says that low carb is less

Fatigue after eating
Husband is getting very sleepy after all meals. His sugar is always below 100 when tested, he takes levothyroxine for low thyroid (waiting for over 2 weeks now on latest blood work and TSH results from PCP. *sigh* He's taking a statin (can't remember the name) and Tamsulosin. Current cancer treatment

How do you get rid of this stubborn belly fat after your endometriosis, I've been on gluten free diet, stopped sugar and started fasting and I did lose weight in other parts of my body but the belly did not want to budge! I had a laparoscopy opy to remove my endo 5 years ago but I'm worried it's come

signs of mild hypothyroidism?
Hi there, New to this forum 👋 grateful to be here 🙏 I’m wondering if anyone could shine some light on my thyroid test results. In March 2023 my TSH was 0.98 (range 0.27-4.2), and my T4 was 15.5 (range 12-22) - this was done with a private GP so sadly no T3. These bloods were taken after 12pm and

mucana
Hi everyone My husband had DBS done a 1 1/2 years ago. Very successful for him , he doesn’t take any medication anymore but I found that he is slowing down. I saw that there has been studies on mucana supplements. I would like to try but I don’t know where to buy it( good quality) and how much he should

weight, diet and statins?
currently down to 5mg, generally chugging along ok, still working, but feeling occasional fatigue so assume I’m getting towards my own adrenals firing back up. Unfortunately I’ve put on about 25lbs over the last 15 months or so 😠 so looking to maybe start trying to lose some. About 3-4 years ago

Noninvasive deep brain stimulation shows promise for Parkinson’s. Is it an advanced form of CUE1?
Stimvia’s URIS device uses electrodes placed near the peroneal nerve in the lower leg to modulate electrical activity that stimulates specific nerve pathways in the brain. It functions as a noninvasive alternative for DBS to modulate the activity of specific brain nerve pathways. A built-in monitoring

hi I am presently on 8 mg for PMR. I’ve been on 8 mg for a couple of weeks. I’m wondering do people have food cravings and weight gain issues on 8 mg. I find I have to completely watch every morsel of food I put in my mouth and I must stay low-carb just to maintain, I lose very very very slowly but

Deep Brain Stimulation Therapy
I am seriously considering having DBS but am wondering if there are others who have successfully had this surgery to alleviate pain in the neck, shoulders, upper back & lower back. Please share any experiences with this as well as anything else you may have found that works. I am desperate. Thank you

wheat in cosmetics
I’m recently diagnosed with coeliac disease. I’m following a gluten free diet but have noticed that a product I bought to promote hair growth contains wheat germ amongst many other ingredients. As this product needs to be massaged into the scalp should I not use it?

Moderate eating diary to track instances of GERD.
I have decided to keep a diary, consisting of my stomach condition on rising and the foods and medicines I take thereafter, during the day. And at what point, if any, I have symptoms of Gerd. The idea is is pinpoint what triggers, might be causing the (every 2 days a week or so) of pain and bloating I'm

Symptoms fluctuating
I am positive for Trab, TPO and Tg antibodies. I had Graves, was treated with carbi (didn't need high doses), went into remission and stopped carbi as per endo advice about 7 months ago (after 14 months of treatment), was ok for a few months and now, instead of suffering a hyper relapse as I thought
