Having difficulties in having a balanced gluten free diet or what to cook because very scared to go to restaurants and other food outlets. How do I make a healthy gluten free diet, i have lost a lot of weight.

T3 affects of different manufacturers
After many years on Teva 60mcgs daily I am trying to reduce the dose to 55mcgs due to increased bowel activity! The GP prescribed 2x20 Teva, 10 Morningside and 5 Viatris. I feel ok except that I have a burning sensation in my digestive system which would suggest an excipient in the new T3 may be an issue

Another new friend 🙂😸
A different walk, same road and different Cat 😸I am getting back to my regular walking again now following my recent back issue ! It's not back to normal yet but probably around 80% improvement. Not back at the gym yet but we will see what Wednesday brings . For now I'm happy to be getting out and about

DBS update
So gang. 3 months following DBS. I had it done because my dystonia was getting so bad and the reliability of the meds was open to question. I might thrive on a particular dose of Madopar and then the next day would be stuck whilst on a walk after having taken the same. It was very hard to plan anything

Gluten ataxia.
Just want to make it clear that having gluten ataxia and then going gluten free is not a cure. For many there is still no medication and only if you don't respond to a gluten free diet are you offered anything.A gluten free diet and a healthy eating approach along with regular exercise helps. I also

Thyroid tests
I have Graves disease since 2007 and had thyroidectomy in 2019. I have felt fine for the last 4 years on levothyroxine (75mcg Monday to Saturday, 50mcg on Sundays). I've recently developed digestive issues with some indigestion and morning diarrhea or loose stool at best. Had FIT test which was negative

Air fryer?
I've been eating LCHF for 4 years, and have experienced many health benefits from it. But while eating high fat, I have never turned to deep fried foods. That's mostly because I am not prepared to deep fry in my home, and outside the oil is mostly seed oils, that is highly recycled. Thus I have been

DBS should I or should I not??
I'm sure everyone goes through this question over & over again!! Ten times, or more like 100 times in our heads when trying to make a decision and be happy with the choice made. I went for my assessment for dbs this week in Southmead Hospital,Bristol. I went through the test and just kept on thinking

Hashimoto to Graves
Hi All, I have been lurking as a member for >8years following a diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I have been managed with varying doses of levothyroxine, follow a gluten-free diet and supplement with B12, Fe and Vit D oral sprays. Having gained weight during Covid, I decided to make a conscious

No more earwax
It sounds weird, but I noticed in last year no more earwax. Does anyone else with PD have the same issue or know why this would happen? Dx 8 years ago, DBS 1/2023, only take c/l

i know this is going to sound weird but…….
Guys. Ever since I had the DBS I’ve had rhinitis, itchy eyes, itchy skin. I assumed that I needed to hoover up etc, get my dogs bedding changed etc. I’ve done all of these but I’m still symptomatic. I thought to myself the other day: this started pretty soon after the DBS. So: could I be allergic to

Stumped
I had my gallbladder removed on 31st August this year. Since then I've stuck to a very healthy low fat diet. No junk food, processed food, carry outs or sweets. My problem is I seem to struggle to have a poo in the morning?? It's a real effort!! I was on dihydrocodeine for back pain and decided to come

Finally, I have no more symptoms of RLS - through diet alone! I eat no more than 40G carbs/day, eat at least 50G protein/day, eat no sugar, maple syrup, sugary drinks, jams, jellies - nothing with a glycemic index over 40, eat only low histamine foods, and follow all the other traditionally recommended

Pain relief.
I used to be able to control the pain by sticking to a very low fat diet. But for the last 18months I've been in pain every day, I have also found that the pain becomes worse when I'm walking which is really getting me down as it is hard to avoid walking it is necessary. Could anyone tell me what they

Hello! I am 20 years deep at age 40 into basically helping doctors regulate my thyroid after a horrible medical overdose at age 17 my thyroid was never the same ….perhaps it was like that as a kid from a traumatic move because I gained 40 pounds seemingly overnight, however I didn’t become medicated

Thyroid Test Help
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) in 2017. Hashimoto's runs in my family. I think my primary doctor originally prescribed 50 mcg levothyroxine and when I got in to see an endocrinologist he upped this to 125 mcg and after a few months dropped it down to 75 mcg. I took 75 mcg daily for

B1 Therapy #Case 2 *Andreia Peres
I've decided to write a series of posts about B1 therapy for a group of people I'm following. Most of them I met through Young Parkies Portugal, or they reached out to me on social media asking for guidance in applying this therapy. Some of these texts had already been published on social media, and
