It is a fact that our body and all its activities are controlled by brain.I have observed that if you keep brooding on some ailments, you start getting symptoms similar to it.If you keep brooding over your sugar levels, counting fat, carbs, protein, medicines, searching this or that net/forums for medicines

Cholesterol / LDL issues.
I have a close 63 year old female friend with Fibromylagia. She also has elevated cholesterol and LDL. She cannot take statins, because they crank the pain threshold considerably. She also suffers from cool/cold temperatures that a person without the disease could easily tolerate. Any thoughts out there

Pre-diabetes and the NHS prevention program.
Hi everyone, As we have many members who are pre-diabetic and with it being January how many of you are struggling to get into your clothes and want to lose a pound or two? Type 2 diabetes has some serious consequences so it is well worth taking steps to prevent it rather than treat it, as type 2

Rapid taper before adrenals shut down
I also subscribe to a pmr forum on Facebook. The following was on the site yesterday. The poster has recently been diagnosed and wants to taper to as low as possible before her adrenals shut down in three weeks. Have any of you heard of this approach? "I’m newly diagnosed and was helped tremendously

Would this drug be safe for hypothyroid folks to try?
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/what-is-saxenda-the-new-b_b_7103932 Don't know if it is available in the UK. In the US it was first released as a Type 2 Diabetes treatment, Victoza. Now, double doses by injection are marketed for weight loss as Saxenda.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! one and all.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! everyone. Well the end of 2019 didn't go as planned or very well at all. There was my husband and I sitting enjoying a film and a glass of wine, when at 10pm immense pains started in my stomach. It was a rase then to get into my electric hoist onto my wheelchair. As whoa and behold

New Year, Less Flab
Well, it's that time of year when we'll all be making New Year resolutions (and then promptly forgetting about them :) ). There's been an upsurge in posts concerning low-carb (LCHF) recently, so if you're thinking of giving this a go after your holiday indulgences, herewith a short FAQ ... and a bit

Cauliflower in ginger sauce with roast parsnips, low carb vegan.
Hi everyone, Here's what I had for diner tonight, I'd already bought a local grown cauliflower and some parsnips when I noticed a reply with a member saying they were pre-diabetic and vegan so I thought I'd bake the cauliflower and parsnips and keep it plant based and low carb and it's also gluten free
