Help with one problem is causing another one
Not sure if I have to ask a question about RLS only as I don't really have a problem with that. My question is related to the medication I am taking for my Neuropathy. I was taking Gabapentin a couple of years before switching to Lyrica because it wasn't working for me. I would like to know if anyone

Re: "A Possible Solution For ... Peripheral Neuropathy ..."
By the time I got around to responding to Nalakrat's post, he had over 3 dozen repiles & who know how many who read but did not respond. On the basis that those people would not get to read a late post, I started this one. I have some interest in this going back to 2016 when my wife was on Velcade,

Plant Sterols and Levothyroxine
Being hypothyroid my cholesterol levels have been quite high-last reading was 7, 2 years ago. Have been using a proactive margerine as don't want to go on statins. Has anyone had any success with plant sterol supplements? Are they tolerated with levothyroxine? Any anecdotal experiences would be appreciated

Neuropathy or rls?
We often get people on here asking if they have rls, and describing their symptoms as "burning or tingling". This short study gives a description of the title. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/10/211027172626.htm It begs the question as to whether we should ask people about their BMI or obesity

Could an Old Drug Be a New Alzheimer’s Treatment?
Would it work on Parkinson's as well? May be a possibility? https://www.aarp.org/health/dementia/info-2021/pill-may-prevent-alzheimers.html An analysis showed that adults 65 and older who took bumetanide were 35 to 75 percent less likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease than those who took another

Has anyone tried oxymorphone?
Hi, has anyone here tried oxymorphone for RLS? oxymorphone is similar to oxycodone but with much less sleeping difficulties in comparison with oxycodone. I have been doing extensive research for an opioid which exerts less sleeping difficulties because the oxycodone I am taking gives me severe insomnia

Acupuncture to Manage Pain?
Hi everyone! I am just wondering if anyone has tried acupuncture therapy for managing abdominal issues/pain and how it worked out for you? I have read that some oncologists do suggest acupuncture to their patients who have had gynecological surgery and curious about any real life examples of success.

Anyone else have soft brittle bones?
Once again I’ve been out of commission for a while. I was working in the garden the latter part of July, and my right femur about 4 inches (10 centimeters) above my knee literally just crumbled. I have just in the last couple of weeks started to be able to walk again. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks

Horizant for RLS
Does anyone here have experience of taking Horizant for RLS? After taking oxycodone 5 mg for many years, I have developed serious insomnia, therefore I'd like to switch to non-opioid to relieve my RLS symptoms. I'd like to know if anyone here have tried Horizant and if it is effective to relieve RLS

Opinions on Hemp creams.
Hello everyone, I've recently decided to purchase some compression gloves for my hands and this cream called Hemp Active cream by 5kind popped up on my screen. It has a lot of good reviews but they also have a stronger version. I'm posting this because I've used Voltarol in the past and it doesn't really

Increased Prednisolone- affect on blood sugar?
Sorry, this seems to be my day for asking questions. I increased my Prednisolone from 8mg to 10mg three weeks ago due to a bad flare. The pain and aching are much better now and I’m due to drop .5 mg to 9.5 in 5 days time. I’m a type 2 diabetic controlled with medication and for the past 10 days have

Solutions for GP’s ?
I’ve just been involved in a conversation on this site re the disappearance of GP’s and the probability that we may never return to the pre COVID system of face to face appointments and a friendly local GP coming to visit you in your own home All the participants in the conversation are equally baffled
