Has anyone tried Glucotrust capsules and is this product from Maximum Edge any good?
A video landed in my inbox from a company promoting this. Long story about how the presenter had discovered the ingredients / formula from a Dr Kumar, at the time living in the States, now back in India. It apparently reversed the man's diabetes. I am naturally cautious, suspicious even. But I see

My Journey- rough start- happy ending
I am eating pretty much what I want except the onset of
diabetes
due to losing about 80% of my pancreas, restricts my
diet
more than anything else. The goal now is to put on 20 pounds that I lostand let me tell you it is not easy.

Food Sensitivities
Any advice on working out food sensitivities? I did the “Happy Gut” diet a couple of years ago which is low FODMAP, vegan and gluten-free. I felt great on it initially and was starting to reintroduce foods when I became really anaemic and had to stop (I don’t think vegan is for me!). I have recently

"Honeymoon phase" in Hypothyroidism?

Hi, I’m prone to gastric problems and just had a stomach ulcer heal but now I’m on Prednisolone I’m finding they are irritating my stomach to how it was before. I take them with food. I am getting no joy asking for the coated ones do was wondering whether to just buy empty capsule cases and put them

Felodipine
Ok- been on a variety of anti hypertensives for about 10 years- Ramipril made me cough continually so a couple of others were tried and eventually settled on Losartan 50mg. Until about 3 months ago when it seemed to stop working. Dose increased with no effect so GP added in amlodipine 5mg- cue awful

Had the 6 month check up consult with my consultant yesterday and liver wise all seems stable CP A meld 6 No too happy with him though. Luckily I asked for a print out of my blood results and when I got home I noticed a few were "off" He did not mention those but I took the result form to my GP today

Can the effects of Metformin, for diabetes 2, cause irregular urinary flow effects akin to that of Prostate Cancer side effects?
I have both Diabetes 2 from March 2020, when started taking Metformin, and Prostate Cancer, June 2022. I have had urinary flow symptoms from March 2020, seem to have worsened, could that be indirectly be a side effect of the Metformin?

Diagnosed with ARLD cirrhosis decompensated July 2022. Any helpful tips or advice would be greatly appreciated
I presented to GP with ascities, jaundice and pain in around abdomen. Sent me straight to hospital. Had not been feeling well for a year or so and was putting it down to perhaps the start of menopause or heamacromatosis which is in my family. I had also relapsed after many years of recovery but had to

Atypical muscle aches?
I am in a conundrum because I am worried that even this dose of pred may be harming me (pre-
diabetes
despite being on keto
diet
, for example), but I absolutely don't want to have a flare and then be forced to go up to an even high dose.

Gestational Diabetes (GD)
I've just been diagnosed with GD, it's my first pregnancy (34 weeks) and I'm so scared and worried. I'm ready to work with the midwives and dietitians but I'm also worried about my baby. Anyone with experience in this regard? How did it go for you?

Type 2 Pre-Diabetes Range
Hello I was diagnosed with type 2 Pre-
diabetes
about four months ago, given a
diet
sheet and advised to take my blood sugars (I bought an accu-check instant monitor). My HbA1c came back as 44 which I think converts to around 6.4 mmol/L or somewhere in that range.

update - diet & tapering
Started a strict liver reduction
diet
12 days ago, because my
diabetes
type 2 glucose level was up by several points and my BP up by around 15 points on both dis & sys. Lost 10 lbs = 4kg and my glucose & BP are back to original which were very good.

Omega 3
I've read that many fish oil supplements are rancid and low quality, but I've also read that the linseed i usually take doesn't have as much omega 3 as animal sourced options. What brands are recommended...

5kg weight loss with Hypothyroidism
Hi, I have been trying this diet plan for the past 6 weeks, since 26 Sep 2022 and am happy to report that I have lost 5kgs to date. Basically, I watch my macros on a ratio of 2 servings veggies, 1 serving protein and 0.5 serving of carbs every meal. I eat 3 meals per day every 4 hours. Then I leave
