He sent me to the Osteo clinic and I now take Desunin Colecalciferol vitD tablets , A brace which I cant get on with and they want me to start the under the skin injection Denosumab(Prolia) Which lasts 6 months and must then be done again with no delay ..

Hi there, Can anyone recommend an alternative to Desunin 800 IU Tablets for vitamin D deficiency, I've tried the Boots versions but they are so large and not good at taking tablets :( Thanks for your help xx

I am on levothroxine and I am on desunin 800u tabs I was never told to take them separate though I have been on them nearly 2 years don’t feel no different

Also prescribed vitamin D 800iu (Fultium/Desunin), 5mg folic acid, 210mg ferrous fumarate 3x a day.

Dr put me on 15mg pred which worked and recently dropped me to 12.5 (slight symptons now) but she recently also prescribed a whole host of other drugs for daily stomach protection (omeprazole) and bone protection (desunin) and alendronic acid.

I'm on Desunin and am considering Alendronic Acid, but am not keen. I am only 53 years old. I feel pants, but the Endo is determined to correct my TSH suppression.

My GP has prescribed Desunin 4000IU daily for 10 weeks then 800IU daily until retest in December for the Vit d deficiency, but nothing regarding the B12 - I still have the neuro symptoms - pins and needles, mental fog, memory loss, episodes of fatigue, dizziness, blurred vision etc Any help gratefully

I'm on prednislone, hydroxychloroquine, asprin, thyroxine, gabapentin, desunin, calcium and painkillers.

why do i feel so yucky, was diagnosed with Anemia and vitamin d deficiency a couple of weeks ago, i was prescribed 800ui Desunin 1 a day and Ferrous sulfate daily, after reading about co factors i also brought vitamin k and Magnesium, the first week i felt horrendous with Nausea, headaches, heartburn

I have 14 Hux D3 20000u take one twice a week for 7 weeks then... 28 Desunin 800iu tablets to take once a day. I also have 28 Levothyroxine 25mcg. Due a re test middle of Sept. Many thanks for taking the time to read and helping me with possible further help/advice. :-)

The GP has given me Desunin 800iu. I did try to get an injection saying it would work quicker as I had been ill for a while but they refused. My question is, is this a sufficient amount as I am sure I have read on this forum we need to take much higher maybe 8000?

I have only started desunin as was on alpha 1 not doing any good. I know when vit d is up as I don't have the aches and pains all over.

and has prescribed 4000 iu Desunin daily for 50 days then maintainance of 800 iu. I believe the CKD has disappeared because I have stopped taking Solifenacin (supposed to stop me running to the bathroom all night.

She put me on Desunin I've to take one three times day for two weeks then one twice a day for two weeks and then one a day for 3 months. She wants my T4 on the high side and my TSH between 1 and 2. She definately listens and I'm back in 8 weeks.

Desunin 800 ou My Rheumotologist had given me cholecalciferol 20,000 units which helped in the past and my levels were 37 then My GP said there old lets try something new this is something he does he is 3 months into the practise it is so frustrating my original Doctor retired

I was not seen until now and have been given Azathiopine, desunin,pregabalin, and Amitriptyline. It seems the lupus has gone mad in such a short time! I am having to work 3days a week and need to make sure I time things well to reduce the chance of having side effects at work.
