Taking Hydrocortisone with NDT - Endo suggesting it’s the final option
Currently taking 10mg Hydrocortisone with 3 grains Armour Thyroid. I tried Levothyroxine, Levothyroxine with Liothyronine and finally NDT and always managed to initially get some respite from symptoms on a dose increase but this never lasted longer than a week even when FT3 levels were at the top of

Does a Malar Rash, muscle pain & tiredness make Lupus???
Hi, I have a rash - a VERY itchy, painful, raw, stinging, burning rash. I've got it above my right eye (inner side) under it and - without any visible signs - on my cheekbones and under my chin and on my collar bone. I am concerned that though this rash FEELS like Rosacea it is actually Lupus. And although

Foreskin Redness / Irritation - Wash Daily - Some Days Better than Others
Hi Guys, I'm a 28 year old uncircumcised male that has been having some redness and irritation issues with my foreskin. I've seen a dermatologist who prescribed me with hydrocortisone, and while that does seem to help, I don't think becoming dependent on it is a good idea. I've used other hydration

Diabetes?
I am now 6 months into repeated symptoms. First one is sore penis and red glands - dr thinks it is balanitis. Kept mostly under control with Daktacort cream. Second symptom is 5 occasions of dark pee when dehydrated (all have happened after hot day, playing golf etc). I need to drink 2/3 litres of water

Hi All Hope you can help out here. Feeling a bit down after today’s consultation. Diagnosed in Aug 2016. Gl 8/9 PSA 7. Spread to local lymph nodes and pelvis. Since spread to lower spine and having radiotherapy now because it’s pressing on nerve endings. I am on 3 mthly lupron and had early docetaxel

Toothache
Hi All, A new hurdle! Anyone come across ones love one with PSP with a toothache. Sam can’t open his mouth anymore & has been on a feeding tube for over a year. I’m not sure how to address this issue. I do have a call into his palliative care nurse but responses don’t come quick enough. Maybe just antibiotics

Palliative/Hospice Care
Larry is in the later stages of PSP. He’s in remarkable good health to date but he is declining. I have been asking the primary care doctor about hospice care for the last year. I have been told he really wasn’t at the stage for hospice. My understanding of hospice was one didn’t have to be dying to

Post attack advice please
Hi all So Tuesday i ended up going to a+e on blues and twos from my GP surgey. This is the first time it's happened. I know I grumbled about the asthma care I've received from my surgery but to be fair to them, they were brilliant. I had been struggling for a few days and using my ventolin A LOT.

The tricky subject of dying
I really recommend ‘With the End in Mind : Dying, Death and Wisdom in an Age of Denial’ by Kathryn Mannix. She is a former palliative care consultant and I think this book should be read by everyone. It really made me think and mentally prepare for dealing with death - of my elderly parent, my partner
